16. And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings,

 and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud;

so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.

17. And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God;

and they stood at the nether part of the mount.

18. And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire:

and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.

19. And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder,

Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice.

20. And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount:

and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.

21. And the LORD said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people,

lest they break through unto the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish.

22. And let the priests also, which come near to the LORD, sanctify themselves,

lest the LORD break forth upon them.

23. And Moses said unto the LORD, The people cannot come up to mount Sinai:

for thou chargedst us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify it.

24. And the LORD said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron with thee:

but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto the LORD,

lest he break forth upon them.

25. So Moses went down unto the people, and spake unto them.
[KJV]

8. O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:

9. Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.

10. For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.

11. Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.

12. Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads;

we went through fire and through water:

but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.

13. I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,

14. Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.

15. I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.

16. Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.

17. I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.

18. If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

19. But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.

20. Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
[KJV]

6. And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts,

and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain,

having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

7. And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.

8. And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb,

having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.

9. And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof:

for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred,

 and tongue, and people, and nation;

10. And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

11. And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders:

 and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

12. Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power,

and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

13. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth,

and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying,

Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne,

and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

14. And the four beasts said,

Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.

44. And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you,

while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled,

which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

45. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

46. And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer,

and to rise from the dead the third day:

47. And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations,

 beginning at Jerusalem.

48. And ye are witnesses of these things.

49. And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you:

but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

50. And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.

51. And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.

53. And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God.

 Amen.
