1.  And God spake all these words, saying,
2.  I am the LORD thy God,

which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3.  Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4.  Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above,

or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5.  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them:

for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God,

visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6.  And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
7.  Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain;

for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
8.  Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9.  Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:
10.  But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God:

in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant,

or thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11.  For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea,

and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day:

wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
12.  Honor thy father and thy mother:

that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
13.  Thou shalt not kill.
14.  Thou shalt not commit adultery.
15.  Thou shalt not steal.
16.  Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
17.  Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife,

nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor's.
[KJV]

1.  Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
2.  He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.
3.  He that backbiteth not with his tongue,

nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
4.  In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD.

He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.
5.  He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent.

He that doeth these things shall never be moved.
[KJV]

18.  For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness;

but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
19.  For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,

and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
20.  Where is the wise? where is the scribe?

where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21.  For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God,

it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
22.  For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
23.  But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
24.  But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks,

Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
25.  Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
[KJV]

13.  And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14.  And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves,

and the changers of money sitting:
15.  And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple,

and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;
16.  And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence;

make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.
17.  And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.
18.  Then answered the Jews and said unto him,

What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?
19.  Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
20.  Then said the Jews,

Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
21.  But he spake of the temple of his body.
22.  When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them;

and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
[KJV]
