나 여호와가 비를 지면에 내리는 날까지

 

그 통의 가루는 다하지 아니하고

 

그 병의 기름은 없어지지 아니하리라

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

[엘리야와 사르밧 과부]
8.여호와의 말씀이 엘리야에게 임하여 가라사대
9.너는 일어나 시돈에 속한 사르밧으로 가서 거기 유하라

 내가 그곳 과부에게 명하여 너를 공궤하게 하였느니라 
10.저가 일어나 사르밧으로 가서 성문에 이를 때에

 한 과부가 그곳에서 나무가지를 줍는지라

 이에 불러 가로되

 청컨대 그릇에 물을 조금 가져다가 나로 마시게 하라
11.저가 가지러 갈때에 엘리야가 저를 불러 가로되

 청컨대 네 손에 떡 한 조각을 내게로 가져오라 
12.저가 가로되

 당신의 하나님 여호와의 사심을 가리켜 맹세하노니

 나는 떡이 없고 다만 통에 가루 한 움큼과 병에 기름 조금 뿐이라

 내가 나무가지 두엇을 주워다가

 나와 내 아들을 위하여 음식을 만들어 먹고 그 후에는 죽으리라

13.엘리야가 저에게 이르되

 두려워 말고 가서 네 말대로 하려니와

 먼저 그것으로 나를 위하여 작은 떡 하나를 만들어 내게로 가져오고

 그 후에 너와 네 아들을 위하여 만들라
14.이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 말씀이

 나 여호와가 비를 지면에 내리는 날까지

 그 통의 가루는 다하지 아니하고

 그 병의 기름은 없어지지 아니하리라

 하셨느니라
15.저가 가서 엘리야의 말대로 하였더니

 저와 엘리야와 식구가 여러날 먹었으나
16.여호와께서 엘리야로 하신 말씀 같이

 통의 가루가 다하지 아니하고 병의 기름이 없어지지 아니하니라

8.And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,
9.Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there:

 behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.
10.So he arose and went to Zarephath.

 And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks:

 and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.
11.And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said,

 Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.
12.And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth,

 I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel,

 and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks,

 that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.
13.And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said:

 but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.
14.For thus saith the LORD God of Israel,

 The barrel of meal shall not waste,

 neither shall the cruse of oil fail,

 until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth.
15.And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah:

 and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.
16.And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail,

 according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.

8.すると， 彼に 次のような 主のことばがあった．
9.「さあ， シドン の ツァレファテ に 行き， そこに 住め．

 見よ．

 わたしは， そこのひとりのやもめに 命じて， あなたを 養うようにしている． 」
10.彼は ツァレファテ へ 出て 行った．

 その 町の 門に 着くと， ちょうどそこに， たきぎを 拾い 集めているひとりのやもめがいた．

 そこで， 彼は 彼女に 聲をかけて 言った．

 「水差しにほんの 少しの 水を 持って 來て， 私に 飮ませてください．」
11.彼女が 取りに 行こうとすると， 彼は 彼女を 呼んで 言った．

 「一口の パン も 持って 來てください． 」
12.彼女は 答えた．

 「あなたの 神， 主は 生きておられます． 私は 燒いた パン を 持っておりません．

 ただ， かめの 中に 一握りの 粉と， つぼにほんの 少しの 油があるだけです．

 ご 覽のとおり， 二， 三本のたきぎを 集め， 歸って 行って，

 私と 私の 息子のためにそれを 調理し， それを 食べて， 死のうとしているのです． 」
13.エリヤ は 彼女に 言った．

 「恐れてはいけません． 行って， あなたが 言ったようにしなさい．

 しかし， まず， 私のためにそれで 小さな パン 菓子を 作り， 私のところに 持って 來なさい．

 それから 後に， あなたとあなたの 子どものために 作りなさい．
14.イスラエル の 神， 主が， こう 仰せられるからです．

 『主が 地の 上に 雨を 降らせる 日までは， そのかめの 粉は 盡きず， そのつぼの 油はなくならない．』」
15.彼女は 行って， エリヤ のことばのとおりにした．

 call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

 우리가 하나님의 말씀을 제쳐 놓고 공궤를 일삼는 것이 마땅치 아니하니

 because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.

 and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.
3.Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report,

 full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.
4.But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
5.And the saying pleased the whole multitude:

 and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor,

 and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:
6.Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.
7.And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly;

 and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

 너희는 따로 한적한 곳에 와서 잠간 쉬어라 하시니

 이는 오고 가는 사람이 많아 음식 먹을 겨를도 없음이라
32.이에 배를 타고 따로 한적한 곳에 갈쌔
33.그 가는 것을 보고 많은 사람이 저희인줄 안지라

 모든 고을로부터 도보로 그 곳에 달려와 저희보다 먼저 갔더라
34.예수께서 나오사 큰 무리를 보시고

 그 목자 없는 양 같음을 인하여 불쌍히 여기사

39.제자들을 명하사 그 모든 사람으로 떼를 지어 푸른 잔디 위에 앉게 하시니
40.떼로 혹 백씩, 혹 오십씩 앉은지라

 떡을 떼어 제자들에게 주어 사람들 앞에 놓게 하시고

 both what they had done, and what they had taught.
31.And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while:

33.And the people saw them departing, and many knew him,

 Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?

39.And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.
40.And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.
41.And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes,

 he looked up to heaven, and blessed,

 and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them;

 and the two fishes divided he among them all.
42.And they did all eat, and were filled.
43.And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.
44.And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.

30.さて， 使徒たちは， イエス のもとに 集まって 來て，

 自分たちのしたこと， 敎えたことを 殘らず イエス に 報告した．
31.そこで イエス は 彼らに，

 「さあ， あなたがただけで， 寂しい 所へ 行って， しばらく 休みなさい． 」と 言われた．

 人々の 出入りが 多くて， ゆっくり 食事する 時間さえなかったからである．
32.そこで 彼らは， 舟に 乘って， 自分たちだけで 寂しい 所へ 行った．

 そして 彼らが 羊飼いのいない 羊のようであるのを 深くあわれみ， いろいろと 敎え 始められた．
35.そのうち， もう 時刻もおそくなったので， 弟子たちは イエス のところに 來て 言った．

 「ここはへんぴな 所で， もう 時刻もおそくなりました．
36.みんなを 解散させてください．

 そして， 近くの 部落や 村に 行って 何か 食べる 物をめいめいで 買うようにさせてください． 」
37.すると， 彼らに 答えて 言われた．

 「あなたがたで， あの 人たちに 何か 食べる 物を 上げなさい． 」

 そこで 弟子たちは 言った．

 「私たちが出かけて行って，二百デナリものパンを買ってあの人たちに食べさせるように，

 ということでしょうか．」
38.すると イエス は 彼らに 言われた．

 「パン はどれぐらいありますか． 行って 見て 來なさい． 」

 彼らは 確かめて 言った． 「五つです． それと 魚が 二匹です． 」
39.イエス は， みなを， それぞれ 組にして 靑草の 上にすわらせるよう，

 弟子たちにお 命じになった．
40.そこで 人々は， 百人， 五十人と 固まって 席に 着いた．
41.すると イエス は， 五つの パン と 二匹の 魚を 取り， 天を 見上げて 祝福を 求め，

 パン を 裂き， 人々に 配るように 弟子たちに 與えられた． また， 二匹の 魚もみなに 分けられた．
42.人々はみな， 食べて 滿腹した．
43.そして， パン 切れを 十二のかごにいっぱい 取り 集め， 魚の 殘りも 取り 集めた．
44.パン を 食べたのは， 男が 五千人であった．
