[백성은 생육이 번성하고 심히 강대하며]
8.  요셉을 알지 못하는 새 왕이 일어나서 애굽을 다스리더니
9.  그가 그 신민에게 이르되 이 백성 이스라엘 자손이 우리보다 많고 강하도다
10.  자 우리가 그들에게 대하여 지혜롭게 하자

두렵건대 그들이 더 많게 되면

전쟁이 일어날 때에 우리 대적과 합하여 우리와 싸우고 이 땅에서 갈까 하노라 하고
11.  감독들을 그들 위에 세우고 그들에게 무거운 짐을 지워 괴롭게 하여

그들로 바로를 위하여 국고성 비돔과 라암셋을 건축하게 하니라
12.  그러나 학대를 받을수록 더욱 번식하고 창성하니 애굽 사람이 이스라엘 자손을 인하여 근심하여
13.  이스라엘 자손의 역사를 엄하게 하여
14.  고역으로 그들의 생활을 괴롭게 하니

곧 흙 이기기와 벽돌 굽기와 농사의 여러가지 일이라 그 시키는 역사가 다 엄하였더라
15.  애굽왕이 히브리 산파 십브라라 하는 자와 부아라 하는 자에게 일러
16.  가로되 너희는 히브리 여인을 위하여 조산할 때에 살펴서 남자여든 죽이고 여자여든 그는 살게 두라
17.  그러나 산파들이 하나님을 두려워하여 애굽왕의 명을 어기고 남자를 살린지라
18.  애굽왕이 산파를 불러서 그들에게 이르되 너희가 어찌 이같이 하여 남자를 살렸느냐
19.  산파가 바로에게 대답하되

히브리 여인은 애굽 여인과 같지 아니하고 건장하여 산파가 그들에게 이르기 전에 해산하였더이다 하매
20.  하나님이 그 산파들에게 은혜를 베푸시니라 백성은 생육이 번성하고 심히 강대하며
21.  산파는 하나님을 경외하였으므로 하나님이 그들의 집을 왕성케 하신지라
22.  그러므로 바로가 그 모든 신민에게 명하여 가로되

남자가 나거든 너희는 그를 하수에 던지고 여자여든 살리라 하였더라
[모세가 태어나다]
1.  레위 족속중 한 사람이 가서 레위 여자에게 장가 들었더니
2.  그 여자가 잉태하여 아들을 낳아 그 준수함을 보고 그를 석달을 숨겼더니
3.  더 숨길 수 없이 되매

그를 위하여 갈대 상자를 가져다가 역청과 나무 진을 칠하고 아이를 거기 담아 하숫가 갈대 사이에 두고
4.  그 누이가 어떻게 되는 것을 알려고 멀리 섰더니
5.  바로의 딸이 목욕하러 하수로 내려오고 시녀들은 하숫가에 거닐 때에

그가 갈대 사이의 상자를 보고 시녀를 보내어 가져다가
6.  열고 그 아이를 보니 아이가 우는지라 그가 불쌍히 여겨 가로되

이는 히브리 사람의 아이로다
7.  그 누이가 바로의 딸에게 이르되

내가 가서 히브리 여인 중에서 유모를 불러다가 당신을 위하여 이 아이를 젖 먹이게 하리이까
8.  바로의 딸이 그에게 이르되 가라 그 소녀가 가서 아이의 어미를 불러오니
9.  바로의 딸이 그에게 이르되 이 아이를 데려다가 나를 위하여 젖을 먹이라 내가 그 삯을 주리라

여인이 아이를 데려다가 젖을 먹이더니
10.  그 아이가 자라매 바로의 딸에게로 데려가니 그의 아들이 되니라

그가 그 이름을 모세라 하여 가로되 이는 내가 그를 물에서 건져내었음이라 하였더라

8.  Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.
9.  And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we:
10.  Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass,

that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us,

and so get them up out of the land.
11.  Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens.

And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.
12.  But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew.

And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.
13.  And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigor:
14.  And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage,

in mortar, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field:

all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigor.
15.  And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah,

and the name of the other Puah:
16.  And he said,

When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools;

if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.
17.  But the midwives feared God,

and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive.
18.  And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them,

Why have ye done this thing, and have saved the men children alive?
19.  And the midwives said unto Pharaoh,

Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women;

for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwives come in unto them.
20.  Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty.
21.  And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses.
22.  And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying,

Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.
1.  And there went a man of the house of Levi, and took to wife a daughter of Levi.
2.  And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child,

she hid him three months.
3.  And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes,

and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein;

and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink.
4.  And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him.
5.  And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river;

and her maidens walked along by the river's side;

and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it.
6.  And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept.

And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children.
7.  Then said his sister to Pharaoh's daughter,

Shall I go and call to thee a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for thee?
8.  And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child's mother.
9.  And Pharaoh's daughter said unto her,

Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages.

And the women took the child, and nursed it.
10.  And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son.

And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.

8 さて、ヨセフのことを知らない新しい王がエジプトに起こった。
9 彼は民に言った。「見よ。イスラエルの民は、われわれよりも多く、また強い。
10 さあ、彼らを賢く取り扱おう。

彼らが多くなり、いざ戦いというときに、敵側についてわれわれと戦い、この地から出て行くといけないから。」
11 そこで、彼らを苦役で苦しめるために、

彼らの上に労務の係長を置き、パロのために倉庫の町ピトムとラメセスを建てた。
12 しかし苦しめれば苦しめるほど、この民はますますふえ広がったので、人々はイスラエル人を恐れた。
13 それでエジプトはイスラエル人に過酷な労働を課し、
14 粘土やれんがの激しい労働や、畑のあらゆる労働など、

すべて、彼らに課する過酷な労働で、彼らの生活を苦しめた。
15 また、エジプトの王は、ヘブル人の助産婦たちに言った。

そのひとりの名はシフラ、もうひとりの名はプアであった。
16 彼は言った。

「ヘブル人の女に分娩させるとき、産み台の上を見て、

もしも男の子なら、それを殺さなければならない。女の子なら、生かしておくのだ。」
17 しかし、助産婦たちは神を恐れ、エジプトの王が命じたとおりにはせず、男の子を生かしておいた。
18 そこで、エジプトの王はその助産婦たちを呼び寄せて言った。

「なぜこのようなことをして、男の子を生かしておいたのか。」
19 助産婦たちはパロに答えた。

「ヘブル人の女はエジプト人の女と違って活力があるので、助産婦が行く前に産んでしまうのです。」
20 神はこの助産婦たちによくしてくださった。それで、イスラエルの民はふえ、非常に強くなった。
21 助産婦たちは神を恐れたので、神は彼女たちの家を栄えさせた。
22 また、パロは自分のすべての民に命じて言った。

「生まれた男の子はみな、ナイルに投げ込まなければならない。

女の子はみな、生かしておかなければならない。」
1 さて、レビの家のひとりの人がレビ人の娘をめとった。
2 女はみごもって、男の子を産んだが、そのかわいいのを見て、三か月の間その子を隠しておいた。
3 しかしもう隠しきれなくなったので、

パピルス製のかごを手に入れ、それに瀝青と樹脂とを塗って、

その子を中に入れ、ナイルの岸の葦の茂みの中に置いた。
4 その子の姉が、その子がどうなるかを知ろうとして、遠く離れて立っていたとき、
5 パロの娘が水浴びをしようとナイルに降りて来た。

彼女の侍女たちはナイルの川辺を歩いていた。

彼女は葦の茂みにかごがあるのを見、はしためをやって、それを取って来させた。
6 それをあけると、子どもがいた。なんと、それは男の子で、泣いていた。

彼女はその子をあわれに思い、「これはきっとヘブル人の子どもです」と言った。
7 そのとき、その子の姉がパロの娘に言った。

「あなたに代わって、その子に乳を飲ませるため、

私が行って、ヘブル女のうばを呼んでまいりましょうか。」
8 パロの娘が「そうしておくれ」と言ったので、おとめは行って、その子の母を呼んで来た。
9 パロの娘は彼女に言った。

「この子を連れて行き、私に代わって乳を飲ませてください。私があなたの賃金を払いましょう。」

それで、その女はその子を引き取って、乳を飲ませた。
10 その子が大きくなったとき、女はその子をパロの娘のもとに連れて行った。その子は王女の息子になった。

彼女はその子をモーセと名づけた。

彼女は、「水の中から、私がこの子を引き出したのです」と言ったからである。

1.  그러므로 형제들아 내가 하나님의 모든 자비하심으로 너희를 권하노니

너희 몸을 하나님이 기뻐하시는 거룩한 산 제사로 드리라

이는 너희의 드릴 영적 예배니라
2.  너희는 이 세대를 본받지 말고

오직 마음을 새롭게 함으로 변화를 받아

하나님의 선하시고 기뻐하시고 온전하신 뜻이 무엇인지 분별하도록 하라

마땅히 생각할 그 이상의 생각을 품지 말고

1 そういうわけですから、兄弟たち。

私は、神のあわれみのゆえに、あなたがたにお願いします。

あなたがたのからだを、神に受け入れられる、聖い、生きた供え物としてささげなさい。

それこそ、あなたがたの霊的な礼拝です。
2 この世と調子を合わせてはいけません。

いや、むしろ、神のみこころは何か、

すなわち、何が良いことで、神に受け入れられ、完全であるのかをわきまえ知るために、

心の一新によって自分を変えなさい。
3 私は、自分に与えられた恵みによって、あなたがたひとりひとりに言います。

だれでも、思うべき限度を越えて思い上がってはいけません。

いや、むしろ、神がおのおのに分け与えてくださった信仰の量りに応じて、慎み深い考え方をしなさい。
4 一つのからだには多くの器官があって、すべての器官が同じ働きはしないのと同じように、
5 大ぜいいる私たちも、キリストにあって一つのからだであり、ひとりひとり互いに器官なのです。
6 私たちは、与えられた恵みに従って、異なった賜物を持っているので、

もしそれが預言であれば、その信仰に応じて預言しなさい。
7 奉仕であれば奉仕し、教える人であれば教えなさい。
8 勧めをする人であれば勧め、分け与える人は惜しまずに分け与え、

指導する人は熱心に指導し、慈善を行う人は喜んでそれをしなさい。

13 さて、ピリポ・カイザリヤの地方に行かれたとき、イエスは弟子たちに尋ねて言われた。

「人々は人の子をだれだと言っていますか。」
14 彼らは言った。

「バプテスマのヨハネだと言う人もあり、エリヤだと言う人もあります。

またほかの人たちはエレミヤだとか、また預言者のひとりだとも言っています。」
15 イエスは彼らに言われた。「あなたがたは、わたしをだれだと言いますか。」
16 シモン・ペテロが答えて言った。「あなたは、生ける神の御子キリストです。」
17 するとイエスは、彼に答えて言われた、

「バルヨナ・シモン。あなたは幸いです。

このことをあなたに明らかに示したのは人間ではなく、天にいますわたしの父です。
18 ではわたしもあなたに言います。

あなたはペテロです。わたしはこの岩の上にわたしの教会を建てます。

ハデスの門もそれには打ち勝てません。
19 わたしは、あなたに天の御国のかぎを上げます。

何でもあなたが地上でつなぐなら、それは天においてもつながれており、

あなたが地上で解くなら、それは天でも解かれています。」
20 そのとき、

イエスはご自分がキリストであることをだれにも言ってはならない、と弟子たちを戒められた。
