8.여호와의 말씀이 엘리야에게 임하여 가라사대
9.너는 일어나 시돈에 속한 사르밧으로 가서 거기 유하라

내가 그곳 과부에게 명하여 너를 공궤하게 하였느니라
10.저가 일어나 사르밧으로 가서 성문에 이를 때에

한 과부가 그곳에서 나무가지를 줍는지라 이에 불러 가로되

청컨대 그릇에 물을 조금 가져다가 나로 마시게 하라
11.저가 가지러 갈때에 엘리야가 저를 불러 가로되

청컨대 네 손에 떡 한 조각을 내게로 가져오라
12.저가 가로되 당신의 하나님 여호와의 사심을 가리켜 맹세하노니

나는 떡이 없고 다만 통에 가루 한 움큼과 병에 기름 조금 뿐이라

내가 나무가지 두엇을 주워다가 나와 내 아들을 위하여 음식을 만들어 먹고 그 후에는 죽으리라
13.엘리야가 저에게 이르되 두려워 말고 가서 네 말대로 하려니와

먼저 그것으로 나를 위하여 작은 떡 하나를 만들어 내게로 가져오고

그 후에 너와 네 아들을 위하여 만들라
14.이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 말씀이

나 여호와가 비를 지면에 내리는 날까지

그 통의 가루는 다하지 아니하고 그 병의 기름은 없어지지 아니하리라 하셨느니라
15.저가 가서 엘리야의 말대로 하였더니 저와 엘리야와 식구가 여러날 먹었으나
16.여호와께서 엘리야로 하신 말씀 같이

통의 가루가 다하지 아니하고 병의 기름이 없어지지 아니하니라

8.And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,
9.Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there:

behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.
10.So he arose and went to Zarephath.

And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks:

and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.
11.And as she was going to fetch it,

he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.
12.And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth,

I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse:

and, behold, I am gathering two sticks,

that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.
13.And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said:

but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.
14.For thus saith the LORD God of Israel,

The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail,

until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth.
15.And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.
16.And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.

8.すると，彼に次のような主のことばがあった．
9.「さあ，シドンのツァレファテに行き，そこに住め．見よ．

わたしは，そこのひとりのやもめに命じて，あなたを養うようにしている．」
10.彼はツァレファテへ出て行った．

その町の門に着くと，ちょうどそこに，たきぎを拾い集めているひとりのやもめがいた．

そこで，彼は彼女に聲をかけて言った．

「水差しにほんの少しの水を持って來て，私に飮ませてください．」
11.彼女が取りに行こうとすると，彼は彼女を呼んで言った．「一口のパンも持って來てください．」
12.彼女は答えた．

「あなたの神，主は生きておられます．私は燒いたパンを持っておりません．

ただ，かめの中に一握りの粉と，つぼにほんの少しの油があるだけです．

ご覽のとおり，二，三本のたきぎを集め，歸って行って，私と私の息子のためにそれを調理し，

それを食べて，死のうとしているのです．」
13.エリヤは彼女に言った．

「恐れてはいけません．行って，あなたが言ったようにしなさい．

しかし，まず，私のためにそれで小さなパン菓子を作り，私のところに持って來なさい．

それから後に，あなたとあなたの子どものために作りなさい．
14.イスラエルの神，主が，こう仰せられるからです．

『主が地の上に雨を降らせる日までは，そのかめの粉は盡きず，そのつぼの油はなくならない．』」
15.彼女は行って，エリヤのことばのとおりにした．

彼女と彼，および彼女の家族も，長い間それを食べた．
16.エリヤを通して言われた主のことばのとおり，

かめの粉は盡きず，つぼの油はなくならなかった．

1.主に感謝して，御名を呼び求めよ．そのみわざを国々の民の中に知らせよ．
2.主に歌え．主にほめ歌を歌え．そのすべての奇しいみわざに思いを潛めよ．

4.主とその御力を尋ね求めよ．絶えず御顔を慕い求めよ．
5.主が行なわれた奇しいみわざを思い起こせ．その奇蹟と御口のさばきとを．

[우리는 기도하는 것과 말씀 전하는 것을 전무하리라]
1.그 때에 제자가 더 많아졌는데

헬라파 유대인들이 자기의 과부들이 그 매일 구제에 빠지므로 히브리파 사람을 원망한대
2.열 두 사도가 모든 제자를 불러 이르되

우리가 하나님의 말씀을 제쳐 놓고 공궤를 일삼는 것이 마땅치 아니하니
3.형제들아 너희 가운데서 성령과 지혜가 충만하여 칭찬 듣는 사람 일곱을 택하라

우리가 이 일을 저희에게 맡기고
4.우리는 기도하는 것과 말씀 전하는 것을 전무하리라 하니
5.온 무리가 이 말을 기뻐하여 믿음과 성령이 충만한 사람

because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.

and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.

full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.
4.But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

7.And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly;

and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

1.そのころ，弟子たちがふえるにつれて，

ギリシヤ語を使うユダヤ人たちが，ヘブル語を使うユダヤ人たちに對して苦情を申し立てた．

彼らのうちのやもめたちが，每日の配給でなおざりにされていたからである．
2.そこで，十二使徒は弟子たち全員を呼び集めてこう言った．

「私たちが神のことばをあと回しにして，食卓のことに仕えるのはよくありません．
3.そこで，兄弟たち．

あなたがたの中から，御靈と知惠とに滿ちた，評判の良い人たち七人を選びなさい．

私たちはその人たちをこの仕事に當たらせることにします．
4.そして，私たちは，もっぱら祈りとみことばの奉仕に勵むことにします．」

31.이르시되 너희는 따로 한적한 곳에 와서 잠간 쉬어라 하시니

이는 오고 가는 사람이 많아 음식 먹을 겨를도 없음이라
32.이에 배를 타고 따로 한적한 곳에 갈쌔
33.그 가는 것을 보고 많은 사람이 저희인줄 안지라

모든 고을로부터 도보로 그 곳에 달려와 저희보다 먼저 갔더라
34.예수께서 나오사 큰 무리를 보시고

그 목자 없는 양 같음을 인하여 불쌍히 여기사 이에 여러가지로 가르치시더라

39.And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.
40.And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.
41.And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed,

and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them;

and the two fishes divided he among them all.
42.And they did all eat, and were filled.
43.And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.
44.And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.

30.さて，使徒たちは，

イエスのもとに集まって來て，自分たちのしたこと，敎えたことを殘らずイエスに報告した．
31.そこでイエスは彼らに，「さあ，あなたがただけで，寂しい所へ行って，しばらく休みなさい．」と言われた．

人々の出入りが多くて，ゆっくり食事する時間さえなかったからである．
32.そこで彼らは，舟に乘って，自分たちだけで寂しい所へ行った．
33.ところが，多くの人々が，彼らの出て行くのを見，

それと氣づいて，方々の町々からそこへ徒步で驅けつけ，彼らよりも先に着いてしまった．
34.イエスは，舟から上がられると，多くの群衆をご覽になった．

そして彼らが羊飼いのいない羊のようであるのを深くあわれみ，いろいろと敎え始められた．
35.そのうち，もう時刻もおそくなったので，弟子たちはイエスのところに來て言った．

「ここはへんぴな所で，もう時刻もおそくなりました .
36.みんなを解散させてください．

そして，近くの部落や村に行って何か食べる物をめいめいで買うようにさせてください．」
37.すると，彼らに答えて言われた．

「あなたがたで，あの人たちに何か食べる物を上げなさい．」

そこで弟子たちは言った．

「私たちが出かけて行って，二百デナリものパンを買ってあの人たちに食べさせるように，ということでしょうか．」
38.するとイエスは彼らに言われた．「パンはどれぐらいありますか．行って見て來なさい．」

彼らは確かめて言った． 「五つです．それと魚が二匹です．」
39.イエスは，みなを，それぞれ組にして靑草の上にすわらせるよう，弟子たちにお命じになった．
40.そこで人々は，百人，五十人と固まって席に着いた．
41.するとイエスは，五つのパンと二匹の魚を取り，天を見上げて祝福を求め，

パンを裂き，人々に配るように弟子たちに與えられた．また，二匹の魚もみなに分けられた．
42.人々はみな，食べて滿腹した．
43.そして，パン切れを十二のかごにいっぱい取り集め，魚の殘りも取り集めた．
44.パンを食べたのは，男が五千人であった．
