[나단이 묵시대로 다윗에게 고하다]
1.  여호와께서 사방의 모든 대적을 파하사 왕으로 궁에 평안히 거하게 하신 때에
2.  왕이 선지자 나단에게 이르되

볼지어다 나는 백향목 궁에 거하거늘 하나님의 궤는 휘장 가운데 있도다
3.  나단이 왕께 고하되 여호와께서 왕과 함께 계시니 무릇 마음에 있는 바를 행하소서
4.  그 밤에 여호와의 말씀이 나단에게 임하여 가라사대
5.  가서 내 종 다윗에게 말하기를

여호와의 말씀이 네가 나를 위하여 나의 거할 집을 건축하겠느냐
6.  내가 이스라엘 자손을 애굽에서 인도하여 내던 날부터 오늘날까지

집에 거하지 아니하고 장막과 회막에 거하며 행하였나니
7.  무릇 이스라엘 자손으로 더불어 행하는 곳에서

내가 내 백성 이스라엘을 먹이라고 명한 이스라엘 어느 지파에게 내가 말하기를

너희가 어찌하여 나를 위하여 백향목 집을 건축하지 아니하였느냐고 말하였느냐
8.  그러므로 이제 내 종 다윗에게 이처럼 말하라

만군의 여호와께서 이처럼 말씀하시기를

내가 너를 목장 곧 양을 따르는 데서 취하여 내 백성 이스라엘의 주권자를 삼고
9.  네가 어디를 가든지 내가 너와 함께 있어 네 모든 대적을 네 앞에서 멸하였은즉

세상에서 존귀한 자의 이름같이 네 이름을 존귀케 만들어 주리라
10.  내가 또 내 백성 이스라엘을 위하여 한 곳을 정하여 저희를 심고 저희로 자기 곳에 거하여

다시 옮기지 않게 하며 악한 유로 전과 같이 저희를 해하지 못하게 하여
11.  전에 내가 사사를 명하여

내 백성 이스라엘을 다스리던 때와 같지 않게 하고 너를 모든 대적에게서 벗어나 평안케 하리라

and the LORD had given him rest round about from all his enemies;
2.  That the king said unto Nathan the prophet,

See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.
3.  And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in thine heart; for the LORD is with thee.
4.  And it came to pass that night, that the word of the LORD came unto Nathan, saying,
5.  Go and tell my servant David, Thus saith the LORD, Shalt thou build me an house for me to dwell in?
6.  Whereas I have not dwelt in any house since the time that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt,

even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle.
7.  In all the places wherein

I have walked with all the children of Israel spake I a word with any of the tribes of Israel,

whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why build ye not me an house of cedar?
8.  Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David,

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote,

from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:
9.  And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight,

and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.
10.  Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them,

that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more;

neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime,
11.  And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel,

and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies.

1 王が自分の家に住み、主が周囲のすべての敵から守って、彼に安息を与えられたとき、
2 王は預言者ナタンに言った。

6 わたしは、エジプトからイスラエル人を導き上った日以来、今日まで、

家に住んだことはなく、天幕、すなわち幕屋にいて、歩んできた。
7 わたしがイスラエル人のすべてと歩んできたどんな所ででも、

わたしが、民イスラエルを牧せよと命じたイスラエル部族の一つにでも、

『なぜ、あなたがたはわたしのために杉材の家を建てなかったのか』と、

一度でも、言ったことがあっただろうか。
8 今、わたしのしもべダビデにこう言え。

万軍の主はこう仰せられる。

わたしはあなたを、羊の群れを追う牧場からとり、わたしの民イスラエルの君主とした。
9 そして、あなたがどこに行っても、あなたとともにおり、あなたの前であなたのすべての敵を断ち滅ぼした。

わたしは地上の大いなる者の名に等しい大いなる名をあなたに与える。
10 わたしが、わたしの民イスラエルのために一つの場所を定め、

民を住みつかせ、民がその所に住むなら、もはや民は恐れおののくことはない。

不正な者たちも、初めのころのように重ねて民を苦しめることはない。
11 それは、わたしが、わたしの民イスラエルの上にさばきつかさを任命したころのことである。

わたしはあなたをすべての敵から守って、安息を与える。

さらに主はあなたに告げる。

『主はあなたのために一つの家を造る。』

23.  내가 저의 앞에서 그 대적을 박멸하며 저를 한하는 자를 치려니와
24.  나의 성실함과 인자함이 저와 함께 하리니 내 이름을 인하여 그 뿔이 높아지리로다

주 하나님께서 그 조상 다윗의 위를 저에게 주시리니

御使いガブリエルが、神から遣わされてガリラヤのナザレという町のひとりの処女のところに来た。
27 この処女は、ダビデの家系のヨセフという人のいいなずけで、名をマリヤといった。
28 御使いは、入って来ると、マリヤに言った。

「おめでとう、恵まれた方。主があなたとともにおられます。」

30 すると御使いが言った。

「こわがることはない。マリヤ。あなたは神から恵みを受けたのです。
31 ご覧なさい。あなたはみごもって、男の子を産みます。名をイエスとつけなさい。
32 その子はすぐれた者となり、いと高き方の子と呼ばれます。

また、神である主は彼にその父ダビデの王位をお与えになります。
33 彼はとこしえにヤコブの家を治め、その国は終わることがありません。」
34 そこで、マリヤは御使いに言った。

「どうしてそのようなことになりえましょう。私はまだ男の人を知りませんのに。」
35 御使いは答えて言った。

「聖霊があなたの上に臨み、いと高き方の力があなたをおおいます。

それゆえ、生まれる者は、聖なる者、神の子と呼ばれます。
36 ご覧なさい。あなたの親類のエリサベツも、あの年になって男の子を宿しています。

不妊の女といわれていた人なのに、今はもう六か月です。
37 神にとって不可能なことは一つもありません。」
38 マリヤは言った。

「ほんとうに、私は主のはしためです。

どうぞ、あなたのおことばどおりこの身になりますように。」

こうして御使いは彼女から去って行った。
