4. 사도와 같이 모이사 저희에게 분부하여 가라사대

   예루살렘을 떠나지 말고 내게 들은바 아버지의 약속하신 것을 기다리라

5. 요한은 물로 세례를 베풀었으나

   너희는 몇 날이 못되어 성령으로 세례를 받으리라 하셨느니라 

 

6. 저희가 모였을 때에 예수께 묻자와 가로되 주께서 이스라엘 나라를 회복하심이 이 때니이까 하니 

7. 가라사대 때와 기한은 아버지께서 자기의 권한에 두셨으니 너희의 알바 아니요 

8. 오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면

   너희가 권능을 받고

   예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅끝까지 이르러 내 증인이 되리라

    하시니라

 

9. 이 말씀을 마치시고 저희 보는데서 올리워 가시니 구름이 저를 가리워 보이지 않게 하더라

10. 올라가실 때에 제자들이 자세히 하늘을 쳐다 보고 있는 데 흰옷 입은 두 사람이 저희 곁에 서서 

11. 가로되 갈릴리 사람들아 어찌하여 서서 하늘을 쳐다 보느냐

     너희 가운데서 하늘로 올리우신 이 예수는 하늘로 가심을 본 그대로 오시리라 하였느니라

1. The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,
2. Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
3. To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
4. And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
5. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
6. When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
7. And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
8. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
9. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
10. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11. Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

6. そこで， 彼らは， いっしょに 集まったとき， イエス にこう 尋ねた． 「主よ． 今こそ， イスラエル のために 國を 再興してくださるのですか． 」
7. イエス は 言われた． 「いつとか， どんなときとかいうことは， あなたがたは 知らなくてもよいのです． それは， 父がご 自分の 權威をもってお 定めになっています．
8. しかし， 聖靈があなたがたの 上に 臨まれるとき，

 あなたがたは 力を 受けます．

 そして， エルサレム ， ユダヤ と サマリヤ の 全土， および 地の 果てにまで， わたしの 證人となります．」
9. こう 言ってから， イエス は 彼らが 見ている 間に 上げられ， 雲に 包まれて， 見えなくなられた．
10. イエス が 上って 行かれるとき， 弟子たちは 天を 見つめていた． すると， 見よ， 白い 衣を 着た 人がふたり， 彼らのそばに 立っていた．
11. そして， こう 言った． 「ガリラヤ の 人たち． なぜ 天を 見上げて 立っているのですか． あなたがたを 離れて 天に 上げられたこの イエス は， 天に 上って 行かれるのをあなたがたが 見たときと 同じ 有樣で， またおいでになります．」
