[그 이름을 모세라 하여 가로되 이는 내가 그를 물에서 건져 내었음이라]

15.애굽 왕이 히브리 산파 십브라라 하는 자와 부아라 하는 자에게 일러
16.가로되 너희는 히브리 여인을 위하여 조산할 때에 살펴서 남자여든 죽이고 여자여든 그는 살게 두라
17.그러나 산파들이 하나님을 두려워하여 애굽 왕의 명을 어기고 남자를 살린지라
18.애굽 왕이 산파를 불러서 그들에게 이르되 너희가 어찌 이같이 하여 남자를 살렸느냐
19.산파가 바로에게 대답하되

히브리 여인은 애굽 여인과 같지 아니하고 건장하여 산파가 그들에게 이르기 전에 해산하였더이다 하매
20.하나님이 그 산파들에게 은혜를 베푸시니라 백성은 생육이 번성하고 심히 강대하며
21.산파는 하나님을 경외하였으므로 하나님이 그들의 집을 왕성케 하신지라
22.그러므로 바로가 그 모든 신민에게 명하여 가로되

남자가 나거든 너희는 그를 하수에 던지고 여자여든 살리라 하였더라
1.레위 족속중 한 사람이 가서 레위 여자에게 장가 들었더니
2.그 여자가 잉태하여 아들을 낳아 그 준수함을 보고 그를 석달을 숨겼더니
3.더 숨길 수 없이 되매

그를 위하여 갈 상자를 가져다가 역청과 나무 진을 칠하고 아이를 거기 담아 하숫가 갈대 사이에 두고
4.그 누이가 어떻게 되는 것을 알려고 멀리 섰더니
5.바로의 딸이 목욕하러 하수로 내려오고

시녀들은 하숫가에 거닐 때에 그가 갈대 사이의 상자를 보고 시녀를 보내어 가져다가
6.열고 그 아이를 보니 아이가 우는지라 그가 불쌍히 여겨 가로되 이는 히브리 사람의 아이로다
7.그 누이가 바로의 딸에게 이르되

내가 가서 히브리 여인 중에서 유모를 불러다가 당신을 위하여 이 아이를 젖 먹이게 하리이까
8.바로의 딸이 그에게 이르되 가라 그 소녀가 가서 아이의 어미를 불러오니
9.바로의 딸이 그에게 이르되 이 아이를 데려다가 나를 위하여 젖을 먹이라 내가 그 삯을 주리라

여인이 아이를 데려다가 젖을 먹이더니
10.그 아이가 자라매 바로의 딸에게로 데려가니 그의 아들이 되니라

그가 그 이름을 모세라 하여 가로되 이는 내가 그를 물에서 건져 내었음이라 하였더라

15.And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah,

and the name of the other Puah:
16.And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools;

if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.
17.But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them,

but saved the men children alive.
18.And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them,

Why have ye done this thing, and have saved the men children alive?
19.And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women;

for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwives come in unto them.
20.Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty.
21.And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses.
22.And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying,

Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.
1.And there went a man of the house of Levi, and took to wife a daughter of Levi.
2.And the woman conceived, and bare a son:

and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months.
3.And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes,

and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein;

and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink.
4.And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him.
5.And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river;

and her maidens walked along by the river's side;

and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it.
6.And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept.

And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children.
7.Then said his sister to Pharaoh's daughter,

Shall I go and call to thee a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for thee?
8.And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child's mother.
9.And Pharaoh's daughter said unto her,

Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages.

And the women took the child, and nursed it.
10.And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son.

And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.

15.また，エジプトの王は，ヘブル人の助産婦たちに言った．

そのひとりの名はシフラ，もうひとりの名はプアであった．
16.彼は言った．

「ヘブル人の女に分娩させるとき，産み台の上を見て，もしも男の子なら，それを殺さなければならない．

女の子なら，生かしておくのだ．」
17.しかし，助産婦たちは神を恐れ，エジプトの王が命じたとおりにはせず，男の子を生かしておいた．
18.そこで，エジプトの王はその助産婦たちを呼び寄せて言った．

「なぜこのようなことをして，男の子を生かしておいたのか．」
19.助産婦たちはパロに答えた．

「ヘブル人の女はエジプト人の女と違って活力があるので，助産婦が行く前に産んでしまうのです．」
20.神はこの助産婦たちによくしてくださった．それで，イスラエルの民はふえ，非常に强くなった．
21.助産婦たちは神を恐れたので，神は彼女たちの家を榮えさせた．
22.また，パロは自分のすべての民に命じて言った．

「生まれた男の子はみな，ナイルに投げ込まなければならない．

女の子はみな，生かしておかなければならない．」
1.さて，レビの家のひとりの人がレビ人の娘をめとった．
2.女はみごもって，男の子を産んだが，そのかわいいのを見て，三か月の間その子を隱しておいた．
3.しかしもう隱しきれなくなったので，パピルス製のかごを手に入れ，

それに瀝青と樹脂とを塗って，その子を中に入れ，ナイルの岸の葦の茂みの中に置いた．
4.その子の姉が，その子がどうなるかを知ろうとして，遠く離れて立っていたとき，
5.パロの娘が水浴びをしようとナイルに降りて來た．彼女の侍女たちはナイルの川邊を步いていた．

彼女は葦の茂みにかごがあるのを見，はしためをやって，それを取って來させた．
6.それをあけると，子どもがいた．なんと，それは男の子で，泣いていた．

彼女はその子をあわれに思い，「これはきっとヘブル人の子どもです．」と言った．
7.そのとき，その子の姉がパロの娘に言った．

「あなたに代わって，その子に乳を飮ませるため，私が行って，ヘブル女のうばを呼んでまいりましょうか．」
8.パロの娘が「そうしておくれ．」と言ったので，おとめは行って，その子の母を呼んで來た．
9.パロの娘は彼女に言った．

「この子を連れて行き，私に代わって乳を飮ませてください．私があなたの賃金を拂いましょう．」

それで，その女はその子を引き取って，乳を飮ませた．
10.その子が大きくなったとき，女はその子をパロの娘のもとに連れて行った．

その子は王女の息子になった．

彼女はその子をモ ― セと名づけた．

彼女は，「水の中から，私がこの子を引き出したのです．」と言ったからである．

3.나의 밤낮 간구하는 가운데 쉬지 않고 너를 생각하여

청결한 양심으로 조상 적부터 섬겨 오는 하나님께 감사하고
4.네 눈물을 생각하여 너 보기를 원함은 내 기쁨이 가득하게 하려 함이니
5.이는 네 속에 거짓이 없는 믿음을 생각함이라

이 믿음은 먼저 네 외조모 로이스와 네 어머니 유니게 속에 있더니 네 속에도 있는 줄을 확신하노라
6.그러므로 내가 나의 안수함으로

네 속에 있는 하나님의 은사를 다시 불일듯하게 하기 위하여

너로 생각하게 하노니
7.하나님이 우리에게 주신 것은 두려워하는 마음이 아니요 오직 능력과 사랑과 근신하는 마음이니

3.I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience,

that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;
4.Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;
5.When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee,

which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.
6.Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God,

which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
7.For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

3.私は，昼も夜も，祈りの中であなたのことを絶えず思い起こしては，

先祖以來きよい良心をもって仕えている神に感謝しています．
4.私は，あなたの淚を覺えているので，あなたに會って，喜びに滿たされたいと願っています．
5.私はあなたの純粹な信仰を思い起こしています．

そのような信仰は，最初あなたの祖母ロイスと，あなたの母ユニケのうちに宿ったものですが，

[저가 주의 그리스도를 보기 전에 죽지 아니하리라 하는 성령의 지시를 받았더니]
22.모세의 법대로 결례의 날이 차매 아기를 데리고 예루살렘에 올라가니
23.이는 주의 율법에 쓴바

첫 태에 처음 난 남자마다 주의 거룩한 자라 하리라 한대로 아기를 주께 드리고
24.또 주의 율법에 말씀하신대로 비둘기 한 쌍이나 혹 어린 반구 둘로 제사하려함이더라
25.예루살렘에 시므온이라 하는 사람이 있으니

이 사람이 의롭고 경건하여 이스라엘의 위로를 기다리는 자라

성령이 그 위에 계시더라
26.저가 주의 그리스도를 보기 전에 죽지 아니하리라 하는 성령의 지시를 받았더니
27.성령의 감동으로 성전에 들어가매

마침 부모가 율법의 전례대로 행하고자 하여 그 아기 예수를 데리고 오는지라
28.시므온이 아기를 안고 하나님을 찬송하여 가로되
29.주재여 이제는 말씀하신대로 종을 평안히 놓아 주시는도다
30.내 눈이 주의 구원을 보았사오니
31.이는 만민 앞에 예비하신 것이요
32.이방을 비추는 빛이요 주의 백성 이스라엘의 영광이니이다 하니
33.그 부모가 그 아기에 대한 말들을 기이히 여기더라
34.시므온이 저희에게 축복하고 그 모친 마리아에게 일러 가로되

보라

이 아이는 이스라엘 중 많은 사람의 패하고 흥함을 위하며 비방을 받는 표적 되기 위하여 세움을 입었고
35.또 칼이 네 마음을 찌르듯 하리라 이는 여러 사람의 마음의 생각을 드러내려 함이니라 하더라

22.And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished,

they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord;

Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;)

A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.

and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel:

Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel;

and for a sign which shall be spoken against;

22.さて，モ ― セの律法による彼らのきよめの期間が滿ちたとき，

兩親は幼子を主にささげるために，エルサレムへ連れて行った．
23.··それは，主の律法に

「母の胎を開く男子の初子は，すべて，主に聖別された者，と呼ばれなければならない．」

と書いてあるとおりであった． ··
24.また，主の律法に

「山ばと一つがい，または，家ばとのひな二羽．」と定められたところに從って犠牲をささげるためであった．
25.そのとき，エルサレムにシメオンという人がいた．

この人は正しい，敬虔な人で，イスラエルの慰められることを待ち望んでいた．

聖靈が彼の上にとどまっておられた．
26.また，主のキリストを見るまでは，決して死なないと，聖靈のお告げを受けていた．
27.彼が御靈に感じて宮にはいると，

幼子イエスを連れた兩親が，その子のために律法の慣習を守るために，はいって來た．
28.すると，シメオンは幼子を腕に抱き，神をほめたたえて言った．
29.「主よ．今こそあなたは，あなたのしもべを，みことばどおり，安らかに去らせてくださいます．
30.私の目があなたの御救いを見たからです．
31.御救いはあなたが万民の前に備えられたもので，
32.異邦人を照らす啓示の光，御民イスラエルの光榮です．」
33.父と母は，幼子についていろいろ語られる事に驚いた．
34.また，シメオンは兩親を祝福し，母マリヤに言った．

「ご覽なさい．この子は，イスラエルの多くの人が倒れ，

また，立ち上がるために定められ，また，反對を受けるしるしとして定められています．
35.劍があなたの心さえも刺し貫くでしょう．それは多くの人の心の思いが現われるためです．」
