1 여호와께 감사하라 저는 선하시며 그 인자하심이 영원함이로다
2 이제 이스라엘은 말하기를 그 인자하심이 영원하다 할지로다
19 내게 의의 문을 열지어다 내가 들어가서 여호와께 감사하리로다
20 이는 여호와의 문이라 의인이 그리로 들어가리로다
21 주께서 내게 응답하시고 나의 구원이 되셨으니 내가 주께 감사하리이다
22 건축자의 버린 돌이 집모퉁이의 머릿돌이 되었나니
23 이는 여호와의 행하신 것이요 우리 눈에 기이한 바로다
24 이 날은 여호와의 정하신 것이라 이 날에 우리가 즐거워하고 기뻐하리로다
25 여호와여 구하옵나니 이제 구원하소서 여호와여 우리가 구하옵나니 이제 형통케 하소서
26 여호와의 이름으로 오는 자가 복이 있음이여 우리가 여호와의 집에서 너희를 축복하였도다
27 여호와는 하나님이시라 우리에게 비취셨으니 줄로 희생을 제단 뿔에 맬지어다
28 주는 나의 하나님이시라 내가 주께 감사하리이다 주는 나의 하나님이시라 내가 주를 높이리이다
29 여호와께 감사하라 그는 선하시며 그 인자하심이 영원함이로다

1 O give thanks unto the LORD; for [he is] good: because his mercy [endureth] for ever.
2 Let Israel now say, that his mercy [endureth] for ever.
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, [and] I will praise the LORD:
20 This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.
21 I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.
22 The stone [which] the builders refused is become the head [stone] of the corner.
23 This is the LORDS doing; it [is] marvellous in our eyes.
24 This [is] the day [which] the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
25 Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.
26 Blessed [be] he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.
27 God [is] the LORD, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, [even] unto the horns of the altar.
28 Thou [art] my God, and I will praise thee: [thou art] my God, I will exalt thee.

1 主に感謝せよ、主は恵みふかく、そのいつくしみはとこしえに絶えることがない。
2 イスラエルは言え、「そのいつくしみはとこしえに絶えることがない」と。
19 わたしのために義の門を開け、わたしはその内にはいって、主に感謝しよう。
20 これは主の門である。正しい者はその内にはいるであろう。
21 わたしはあなたに感謝します。あなたがわたしに答えて、わが救となられたことを。
22 家造りらの捨てた石は／隅のかしら石となった。
23 これは主のなされた事で／われらの目には驚くべき事である。
24 これは主が設けられた日であって、われらはこの日に喜び楽しむであろう。
25 主よ、どうぞわれらをお救いください。主よ、どうぞわれらを栄えさせてください。
26 主のみ名によってはいる者はさいわいである。われらは主の家からあなたをたたえます。
27 主は神であって、われらを照された。枝を携えて祭の行列を祭壇の角にまで進ませよ。
28 あなたはわが神、わたしはあなたに感謝します。あなたはわが神、わたしはあなたをあがめます。

[예루살렘에 들어가시다]
1 저희가 예루살렘에 가까이 와서 감람산 벳바게에 이르렀을 때에 예수께서 두 제자를 보내시며
2 이르시되

너희 맞은편 마을로 가라 곧 매인 나귀와 나귀 새끼가 함께 있는 것을 보리니 풀어 내게로 끌고 오너라
3 만일 누가 무슨 말을 하거든 주가 쓰시겠다 하라 그리하면 즉시 보내리라 하시니
4 이는 선지자로 하신 말씀을 이루려 하심이라 일렀으되
5 시온 딸에게 이르기를

네 왕이 네게 임하나니 그는 겸손하여 나귀, 곧 멍에 메는 짐승의 새끼를 탔도다 하라 하였느니라
6 제자들이 가서 예수의 명하신대로 하여
7 나귀와 나귀 새끼를 끌고 와서 자기들의 겉옷을 그 위에 얹으매 예수께서 그 위에 타시니
8 무리의 대부분은 그 겉옷을 길에 펴며 다른이는 나무 가지를 베어 길에 펴고
9 앞에서 가고 뒤에서 따르는 무리가 소리질러 가로되

호산나 다윗의 자손이여 찬송하리로다

주의 이름으로 오시는 이여 가장 높은 곳에서 호산나 하더라
10 예수께서 예루살렘에 들어가시니 온 성이 소동하여 가로되 이는 누구뇨 하거늘
11 무리가 가로되 갈릴리 나사렛에서 나온 선지자 예수라 하니라

1 And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives,

then sent Jesus two disciples,
2 Saying unto them,

Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her:

loose [them], and bring [them] unto me.
3 And if any [man] say ought unto you, ye shall say,

The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them.
4 All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,
5 Tell ye the daughter of Sion,

Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.
6 And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them,
7 And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set [him] thereon.
8 And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way;

others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed [them] in the way.
9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David:

Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.
10 And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?
11 And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.

1 さて、彼らがエルサレムに近づき、オリブ山沿いのベテパゲに着いたとき、

イエスはふたりの弟子をつかわして言われた、
2 「向こうの村へ行きなさい。

するとすぐ、ろばがつながれていて、子ろばがそばにいるのを見るであろう。

それを解いてわたしのところに引いてきなさい。
3 もしだれかが、あなたがたに何か言ったなら、主がお入り用なのです、と言いなさい。

そう言えば、すぐ渡してくれるであろう」。
4 こうしたのは、預言者によって言われたことが、成就するためである。
5 すなわち、

「シオンの娘に告げよ、見よ、あなたの王がおいでになる、

柔和なおかたで、ろばに乗って、くびきを負うろばの子に乗って」。
6 弟子たちは出て行って、イエスがお命じになったとおりにし、
7 ろばと子ろばとを引いてきた。そしてその上に自分たちの上着をかけると、イエスはそれにお乗りになった。
8 群衆のうち多くの者は自分たちの上着を道に敷き、また、ほかの者たちは木の枝を切ってきて道に敷いた。
9 そして群衆は、前に行く者も、あとに従う者も、共に叫びつづけた、

「ダビデの子に、ホサナ。主の御名によってきたる者に、祝福あれ。いと高き所に、ホサナ」。
10 イエスがエルサレムにはいって行かれたとき、町中がこぞって騒ぎ立ち、

「これは、いったい、どなただろう」と言った。
11 そこで群衆は、「この人はガリラヤのナザレから出た預言者イエスである」と言った。

[주를 거역하지 아니하다]
4 주 여호와께서 학자의 혀를 내게 주사 나로 곤핍한 자를 말로 어떻게 도와줄 줄을 알게 하시고

아침마다 깨우치시되 나의 귀를 깨우치사 학자같이 알아듣게 하시도다
5 주 여호와께서 나의 귀를 열으셨으므로 내가 거역지도 아니하며 뒤로 물러가지도 아니하며
6 나를 때리는 자들에게 내 등을 맡기며 나의 수염을 뽑는 자들에게 나의 뺨을 맡기며

수욕과 침 뱉음을 피하려고 내 얼굴을 가리우지 아니하였느니라
7 주 여호와께서 나를 도우시므로 내가 부끄러워 아니하고

내 얼굴을 부싯돌 같이 굳게 하였은즉 내가 수치를 당치 아니할 줄 아노라
8 나를 의롭다 하시는 이가 가까이 계시니 나와 다툴 자가 누구뇨

나와 함께 설지어다 나의 대적이 누구뇨 내게 가까이 나아올지어다
9 주 여호와께서 나를 도우시리니 나를 정죄할 자 누구뇨

4 The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned,

that I should know how to speak a word in season to [him that is] weary:

he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.
5 The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.
6 I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair:

I hid not my face from shame and spitting.
7 For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded:

therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.
8 [He is] near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand together:

who [is] mine adversary? let him come near to me.
9 Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who [is] he [that] shall condemn me?

4 主なる神は教をうけた者の舌をわたしに与えて、疲れた者を言葉をもって助けることを知らせ、

また朝ごとにさまし、わたしの耳をさまして、教をうけた者のように聞かせられる。
5 主なる神はわたしの耳を開かれた。わたしは、そむくことをせず、退くことをしなかった。
6 わたしを打つ者に、わたしの背をまかせ、わたしのひげを抜く者に、わたしのほおをまかせ、

恥とつばきとを避けるために、顔をかくさなかった。
7 しかし主なる神はわたしを助けられる。それゆえ、わたしは恥じることがなかった。

それゆえ、わたしは顔を火打石のようにした。わたしは決してはずかしめられないことを知る。
8 わたしを義とする者が近くおられる。だれがわたしと争うだろうか、われわれは共に立とう。

わたしのあだはだれか、わたしの所へ近くこさせよ。
9 見よ、主なる神はわたしを助けられる。だれがわたしを罪に定めるだろうか。

9 여호와여 내 고통을 인하여 나를 긍휼히 여기소서 내가 근심으로 눈과 혼과 몸이 쇠하였나이다
10 내 생명은 슬픔으로 보내며 나의 해는 탄식으로 보냄이여 내 기력이 나의 죄악으로 약하며 나의 뼈가 쇠하도소이다
11 내가 모든 대적으로 말미암아 욕을 당하고 내 이웃에게서는 심히 당하니

내 친구가 놀라고 길에서 보는 자가 나를 피하였나이다
12 내가 잊어버린바 됨이 사망한 자를 마음에 두지 아니함 같고 파기와 같으니이다
13 내가 무리의 비방을 들으오며 사방에 두려움이 있나이다

저희가 나를 치려 의논할 때에 내 생명을 빼앗기로 꾀하였나이다

9 Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble:

mine eye is consumed with grief, [yea], my soul and my belly.
10 For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing:

my strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones are consumed.
11 I was a reproach among all mine enemies,

but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance:

lthey that did see me without fled from me.
12 I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.

9 主よ、わたしをあわれんでください。わたしは悩み苦しんでいます。

わたしの目は憂いによって衰え、わたしの魂も、からだもまた衰えました。
10 わたしのいのちは悲しみによって消えゆき、わたしの年は嘆きによって消えさり、

わたしの力は苦しみによって尽き、わたしの骨は枯れはてました。
11 わたしはすべてのあだにそしられる者となり、隣り人には恐れられ、

知り人には恐るべき者となり、ちまたでわたしを見る者は避けて逃げます。
12 わたしは死んだ者のように人の心に忘れられ、破れた器のようになりました。
13 まことに、わたしは多くの人のささやくのを聞きます、

「至る所に恐るべきことがある」と。

[그리스도의 겸손]
5 너희 안에 이 마음을 품으라 곧 그리스도 예수의 마음이니
6 그는 근본 하나님의 본체시나 하나님과 동등됨을 취할 것으로 여기지 아니하시고
7 오히려 자기를 비어 종의 형체를 가져 사람들과 같이 되었고
8 사람의 모양으로 나타나셨으매 자기를 낮추시고 죽기까지 복종하셨으니 곧 십자가에 죽으심이라
9 이러므로 하나님이 그를 지극히 높여 모든 이름 위에 뛰어난 이름을 주사
10 하늘에 있는 자들과 땅에 있는 자들과 땅 아래 있는 자들로 모든 무릎을 예수의 이름에 꿇게 하시고
11 모든 입으로 예수 그리스도를 주라 시인하여 하나님 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하셨느니라

6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

[유다가 배반하다]
14 그 때에 열 둘 중에 하나인 가룟 유다라 하는 자가 대제사장들에게 가서 말하되
15 내가 예수를 너희에게 넘겨주리니 얼마나 주려느냐 하니 그들이 은 삼십을 달아 주거늘
16 저가 그 때부터 예수를 넘겨줄 기회를 찾더라

[마지막 만찬]
17 무교절의 첫날에 제자들이 예수께 나아와서 가로되 유월절 잡수실 것을 우리가 어디서 예비 하기를 원하시나이까
18 가라사대 성안 아무에게 가서 이르되

선생님 말씀이 내 때가 가까왔으니 내 제자들과 함께 유월절을 네 집에서 지키겠다 하시더라 하라 하신대
19 제자들이 예수의 시키신대로 하여 유월절을 예비하였더라
20 저물 때에 예수께서 열 두 제자와 함께 앉으셨더니
21 저희가 먹을 때에 이르시되 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 너희 중에 한 사람이 나를 팔리라 하시니
22 저희가 심히 근심하여 각각 여짜오되 주여 내니이까
23 대답하여 가라사대 나와 함께 그릇에 손을 넣는 그가 나를 팔리라
24 인자는 자기에게 대하여 기록된대로 가거니와 인자를 파는 그 사람에게는 화가 있으리로다

그 사람은 차라리 나지 아니 하였더면 제게 좋을뻔 하였느니라
25 예수를 파는 유다가 대답하여 가로되 랍비여 내니이까 대답하시되 네가 말하였도다 하시니라
26 저희가 먹을 때에 예수께서 떡을 가지사 축복하시고 떼어 제자들을 주시며 가라사대

받아 먹으라 이것이 내 몸이니라 하시고
27 또 잔을 가지사 사례하시고 저희에게 주시며 가라사대 너희가 다 이것을 마시라
28 이것은 죄 사함을 얻게 하려고 많은 사람을 위하여 흘리는바 나의 피 곧 언약의 피니라
29 그러나 너희에게 이르노니

내가 포도나무에서 난 것을 이제부터 내 아버지의 나라에서 새것으로 너희와 함께 마시는 날까지 마시지 아니하리라

30 이에 저희가 찬미하고 감람산으로 나아가니라

[베드로가 부인할 것을 이르시다]
31 때에 예수께서 제자들에게 이르시되

오늘 밤에 너희가 다 나를 버리리라 기록된바 내가 목자를 치리니 양의 떼가 흩어지리라 하였느니라
32 그러나 내가 살아난 후에 너희보다 먼저 갈릴리로 가리라
33 베드로가 대답하여 가로되 다 주를 버릴지라도 나는 언제든지 버리지 않겠나이다
34 예수께서 가라사대 내가 진실로 네게 이르노니 오늘 밤 닭 울기 전에 네가 세번 나를 부인하리라
35 베드로가 가로되 내가 주와 함께 죽을지언정 주를 부인하지 않겠나이다 하고 모든 제자도 이와 같이 말하니라

[겟세마네에서 기도하시다]
36 이에 예수께서 제자들과 함께 겟세마네라 하는 곳에 이르러 제자들에게 이르시되

내가 저기 가서 기도할 동안에 너희는 여기 앉아 있으라 하시고
37 베드로와 세베대의 두 아들을 데리고 가실쌔 고민하고 슬퍼하사
38 이에 말씀하시되 내 마음이 심히 고민하여 죽게 되었으니 너희는 여기 머물러 나와 함께 깨어 있으라 하시고
39 조금 나아가사 얼굴을 땅에 대시고 엎드려 기도하여 가라사대

내 아버지여 만일 할만하시거든 이 잔을 내게서 지나가게 하옵소서

그러나 나의 원대로 마옵시고 아버지의 원대로 하옵소서 하시고
40 제자들에게 오사 그 자는 것을 보시고 베드로에게 말씀하시되 너희가 나와 함께 한 시 동안도 이렇게 깨어 있을 수 없더냐
41 시험에 들지 않게 깨어 있어 기도하라 마음에는 원이로되 육신이 약하도다 하시고
42 다시 두번째 나아가 기도하여 가라사대

내 아버지여 만일 내가 마시지 않고는 이 잔이 내게서 지나갈 수 없거든 아버지의 원대로 되기를 원하나이다 하시고
43 다시 오사 보신즉 저희가 자니 이는 저희 눈이 피곤함일러라
44 또 저희를 두시고 나아가 세번째 동일한 말씀으로 기도하신 후
45 이에 제자들에게 오사 이르시되 이제는 자고 쉬라 보라 때가 가까왔으니 인자가 죄인의 손에 팔리우느니라
46 일어나라 함께 가자 보라 나를 파는 자가 가까이 왔느니라

[잡히시다]
47 말씀하실 때에 열 둘 중에 하나인 유다가 왔는데

대제사장들과 백성의 장로들에게서 파송된 큰 무리가 검과 몽치를 가지고 그와 함께 하였더라
48 예수를 파는 자가 그들에게 군호를 짜 가로되 내가 입맞추는 자가 그이니 그를 잡으라 하였는지라
49 곧 예수께 나아와 랍비여 안녕하시옵니까 하고 입을 맞추니
50 예수께서 가라사대

친구여 네가 무엇을 하려고 왔는지 행하라 하신대 이에 저희가 나아와 예수께 손을 대어 잡는지라
51 예수와 함께 있던 자 중에 하나가 손을 펴 검을 빼어 대제사장의 종을 쳐 그 귀를 떨어뜨리니
52 이에 예수께서 이르시되 네 검을 도로 집에 꽂으라 검을 가지는 자는 다 검으로 망하느니라
53 너는 내가 내 아버지께 구하여 지금 열 두 영 더되는 천사를 보내시게 할 수 없는 줄로 아느냐
54 내가 만일 그렇게 하면 이런 일이 있으리라 한 성경이 어떻게 이루어지리요 하시더라
55 그 때에 예수께서 무리에게 말씀하시되

너희가 강도를 잡는 것 같이 검과 몽치를 가지고 나를 잡으러 나왔느냐

내가 날마다 성전에 앉아 가르쳤으되 너희가 나를 잡지 아니하였도다
56 그러나 이렇게 된 것은 다 선지자들의 글을 이루려 함이니라 하시더라 이에 제자들이 다 예수를 버리고 도망하니라

[공회 앞에 서시다]
57 예수를 잡은 자들이 끌고 대제사장 가야바에게로 가니 거기 서기관과 장로들이 모여 있더라
58 베드로가 멀찍이 예수를 좇아 대제사장의 집 뜰에까지 가서 그 결국을 보려고 안에 들어가 하속들과 함께 앉았더라
59 대제사장들과 온 공회가 예수를 죽이려고 그를 칠 거짓증거를 찾으매
60 거짓 증인이 많이 왔으나 얻지 못하더니 후에 두 사람이 와서
61 가로되 이 사람의 말이 내가 하나님의 성전을 헐고 사흘에 지을 수 있다 하더라 하니
62 대제사장이 일어서서 예수께 묻되 아무 대답도 없느냐 이 사람들의 너를 치는 증거가 어떠하뇨 하되
63 예수께서 잠잠하시거늘 대제사장이 가로되

내가 너로 살아계신 하나님께 맹세하게 하노니 네가 하나님의 아들 그리스도인지 우리에게 말하라
64 예수께서 가라사대

네가 말하였느니라 그러나 내가 너희에게 이르노니

이 후에 인자가 권능의 우편에 앉은 것과 하늘 구름을 타고 오는 것을 너희가 보리라 하시니
65 이에 대제사장이 자기 옷을 찢으며 가로되

저가 참람한 말을 하였으니 어찌 더 증인을 요구하리요 보라 너희가 지금 이 참람한 말을 들었도다
66 생각이 어떠하뇨 대답하여 가로되 저는 사형에 해당하니라 하고
67 이에 예수의 얼굴에 침 뱉으며 주먹으로 치고 혹은 손바닥으로 때리며
68 가로되 그리스도야 우리에게 선지자 노릇을 하라 너를 친 자가 누구냐 하더라

[베드로가 예수를 모른다고 하다]
69 베드로가 바깥 뜰에 앉았더니 한 비자가 나아와 가로되 너도 갈릴리 사람 예수와 함께 있었도다 하거늘
70 베드로가 모든 사람 앞에서 부인하여 가로되 나는 네 말하는 것이 무엇인지 알지 못하겠노라 하며
71 앞문까지 나아가니 다른 비자가 저를 보고 거기 있는 사람들에게 말하되 이 사람은 나사렛 예수와 함께 있었도다 하매
72 베드로가 맹세하고 또 부인하여 가로되 내가 그 사람을 알지 못하노라 하더라
73 조금 후에 곁에 섰던 사람들이 나아와 베드로에게 이르되 너도 진실로 그 당이라 네 말소리가 너를 표명한다 하거늘
74 저가 저주하며 맹세하여 가로되 내가 그 사람을 알지 못하노라 하니 닭이 곧 울더라
75 이에 베드로가 예수의 말씀에 닭 울기 전에 네가 세번 나를 부인하리라 하심이 생각나서 밖에 나가서 심히 통곡하니라

[빌라도 앞에 서시다]
1 새벽에 모든 대제사장과 백성의 장로들이 예수를 죽이려고 함께 의논하고
2 결박하여 끌고 가서 총독 빌라도에게 넘겨주니라

[유다가 자살하다]
3 때에 예수를 판 유다가 그의 정죄됨을 보고 스스로 뉘우쳐 그 은 삼십을 대제사장들과 장로들에게 도로 갖다 주며
4 가로되 내가 무죄한 피를 팔고 죄를 범하였도다 하니

저희가 가로되 그것이 우리에게 무슨 상관이 있느냐 네가 당하라 하거늘
5 유다가 은을 성소에 던져 넣고 물러가서 스스로 목매어 죽은지라
6 대제사장들이 그 은을 거두며 가로되 이것은 피 값이라 성전고에 넣어 둠이 옳지 않다 하고
7 의논한 후 이것으로 토기장이의 밭을 사서 나그네의 묘지를 삼았으니
8 그러므로 오늘날까지 그 밭을 피밭이라 일컫느니라
9 이에 선지자 예레미야로 하신 말씀이 이루었나니 일렀으되

저희가 그 정가된 자 곧 이스라엘 자손 중에서 정가한 자의 가격 곧 은 삼십을 가지고
10 토기장이의 밭 값으로 주었으니 이는 주께서 내게 명하신 바와 같으니라 하였더라

[사형 선고를 받으시다]
11 예수께서 총독 앞에 섰으매 총독이 물어 가로되 네가 유대인의 왕이냐 예수께서 대답하시되 네 말이 옳도다 하시고
12 대제사장들과 장로들에게 고소를 당하되 아무 대답도 아니하시는지라
13 이에 빌라도가 이르되 저희가 너를 쳐서 얼마나 많은 것으로 증거하는지 듣지 못하느냐 하되
14 한마디도 대답지 아니하시니 총독이 심히 기이히 여기더라
15 명절을 당하면 총독이 무리의 소원대로 죄수 하나를 놓아 주는 전례가 있더니
16 그 때에 바라바라 하는 유명한 죄수가 있는데
17 저희가 모였을 때에 빌라도가 물어 가로되

너희는 내가 누구를 너희에게 놓아 주기를 원하느냐 바라바냐 그리스도라 하는 예수냐 하니
18 이는 저가 그들의 시기로 예수를 넘겨준줄 앎이러라
19 총독이 재판 자리에 앉았을 때에 그 아내가 사람을 보내어 가로되

저 옳은 사람에게 아무 상관도 하지 마옵소서 오늘 꿈에 내가 그 사람을 인하여 애를 많이 썼나이다 하더라
20 대제사장들과 장로들이 무리를 권하여 바라바를 달라 하게 하고 예수를 멸하자 하게 하였더니
21 총독이 대답하여 가로되 둘 중에 누구를 너희에게 놓아 주기를 원하느냐 가로되 바라바로소이다
22 빌라도가 가로되 그러면 그리스도라 하는 예수를 내가 어떻게 하랴

저희가 다 가로되 십자가에 못 박혀야 하겠나이다
23 빌라도가 가로되 어찜이뇨 무슨 악한 일을 하였느냐

저희가 더욱 소리질러 가로되 십자가에 못 박혀야 하겠나이다 하는지라
24 빌라도가 아무 효험도 없이 도리어 민란이 나려는 것을 보고 물을 가져다가 무리 앞에서 손을 씻으며 가로되

이 사람의 피에 대하여 나는 무죄하니 너희가 당하라
25 백성이 다 대답하여 가로되 그 피를 우리와 우리 자손에게 돌릴지어다 하거늘
26 이에 바라바는 저희에게 놓아주고 예수는 채찍질하고 십자가에 못박히게 넘겨주니라

[군병들이 예수를 희롱하다]
27 이에 총독의 군병들이 예수를 데리고 관정 안으로 들어가서 온 군대를 그에게로 모으고
28 그의 옷을 벗기고 홍포를 입히며
29 가시 면류관을 엮어 그 머리에 씌우고 갈대를 그 오른손에 들리고 그 앞에서 무릎을 꿇고 희롱하여 가로되

유대인의 왕이여 평안할지어다 하며
30 그에게 침 뱉고 갈대를 빼앗아 그의 머리를 치더라
31 희롱을 다한 후 홍포를 벗기고 도로 그의 옷을 입혀 십자가에 못 박으려고 끌고 나가니라

[십자가에 못 박히시다]
32 나가다가 시몬이란 구레네 사람을 만나매 그를 억지로 같이 가게 하여 예수의 십자가를 지웠더라
33 골고다 즉 해골의 곳이라는 곳에 이르러
34 쓸개탄 포도주를 예수께 주어 마시게 하려 하였더니 예수께서 맛보시고 마시고자 아니하시더라
35 저희가 예수를 십자가에 못 박은 후에 그 옷을 제비 뽑아 나누고
36 거기 앉아 지키더라
37 그 머리 위에 이는 유대인의 왕 예수라 쓴 죄패를 붙였더라
38 이 때에 예수와 함께 강도 둘이 십자가에 못 박히니 하나는 우편에, 하나는 좌편에 있더라
39 지나가는 자들은 자기 머리를 흔들며 예수를 모욕하여
40 가로되 성전을 헐고 사흘에 짓는 자여

네가 만일 하나님의 아들이어든 자기를 구원하고 십자가에서 내려오라 하며
41 그와 같이 대제사장들도 서기관들과 장로들과 함께 희롱하여 가로되
42 저가 남은 구원하였으되 자기는 구원할 수 없도다

저가 이스라엘의 왕이로다 지금 십자가에서 내려올지어다 그러면 우리가 믿겠노라
43 저가 하나님을 신뢰하니 하나님이 저를 기뻐하시면 이제 구원하실지라

제 말이 나는 하나님의 아들이라 하였도다 하며
44 함께 십자가에 못 박힌 강도들도 이와 같이 욕하더라

[영혼이 떠나시다]
45 제 육시로부터 온 땅에 어두움이 임하여 제 구시까지 계속하더니
46 제 구시 즈음에 예수께서 크게 소리질러 가라사대

엘리 엘리 라마 사박다니 하시니

이는 곧 나의 하나님, 나의 하나님, 어찌하여 나를 버리셨나이까 하는 뜻이라
47 거기 섰던 자 중 어떤이들이 듣고 가로되 이 사람이 엘리야를 부른다 하고
48 그 중에 한 사람이 곧 달려가서 해융을 가지고 신 포도주를 머금게 하여 갈대에 꿰어 마시우거늘
49 그 남은 사람들이 가로되 가만 두어라 엘리야가 와서 저를 구원하나 보자 하더라
50 예수께서 다시 크게 소리 지르시고 영혼이 떠나시다
51 이에 성소 휘장이 위로부터 아래까지 찢어져 둘이 되고 땅이 진동하며 바위가 터지고
52 무덤들이 열리며 자던 성도의 몸이 많이 일어나되
53 예수의 부활 후에 저희가 무덤에서 나와서 거룩한 성에 들어가 많은 사람에게 보이니라
54 백부장과 및 함께 예수를 지키던 자들이 지진과 그 되는 일들을 보고 심히 두려워하여 가로되

이는 진실로 하나님의 아들이었도다 하더라
55 예수를 섬기며 갈릴리에서부터 좇아 온 많은 여자가 거기 있어 멀리서 바라보고 있으니
56 그 중에 막달라 마리아와 또 야고보와 요셉의 어머니 마리아와 또 세베대의 아들들의 어머니도 있더라

[무덤에 넣어 두다]
57 저물었을 때에 아리마대 부자 요셉이라 하는 사람이 왔으니 그도 예수의 제자라
58 빌라도에게 가서 예수의 시체를 달라 하니 이에 빌라도가 내어주라 분부하거늘
59 요셉이 시체를 가져다가 정한 세마포로 싸서
60 바위 속에 판 자기 새무덤에 넣어두고 큰 돌을 굴려 무덤 문에 놓고 가니
61 거기 막달라 마리아와 다른 마리아가 무덤을 향하여 앉았더라

[파수꾼이 무덤을 지키다]
62 그 이튿날은 예비일 다음 날이라 대제사장들과 바리새인들이 함께 빌라도에게 모여 가로되
63 주여 저 유혹하던 자가 살았을 때에 말하되 내가 사흘 후에 다시 살아나리라 한 것을 우리가 기억하노니
64 그러므로 분부하여 그 무덤을 사흘까지 굳게 지키게 하소서

그의 제자들이 와서 시체를 도적질하여 가고 백성에게 말하되

그가 죽은 자 가운데서 살아났다 하면 후의 유혹이 전보다 더 될까 하나이다 하니
65 빌라도가 가로되 너희에게 파숫군이 있으니 가서 힘대로 굳게 하라 하거늘
66 저희가 파숫군과 함께 가서 돌을 인봉하고 무덤을 굳게 하니라

14 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,
15 And said [unto them], What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you?

And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.
16 And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.
17 Now the first [day] of the [feast of] unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him,

Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?
18 And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him,

The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.
19 And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.
20 Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.
21 And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
22 And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I?
23 And he answered and said, He that dippeth [his] hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.
24 The Son of man goeth as it is written of him:

but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed!

it had been good for that man if he had not been born.
25 Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.
26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed [it], and brake [it],

and gave [it] to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave [it] to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
29 But I say unto you,

I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Fathers kingdom.
30 And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
31 Then saith Jesus unto them,

All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written,

I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.
32 But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.
33 Peter answered and said unto him,

Though all [men] shall be offended because of thee, [yet] will I never be offended.
34 Jesus said unto him,

Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
35 Peter said unto him,

Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.
36 Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples,

Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
37 And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.
38 Then saith he unto them,

My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.
39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying,

O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou [wilt].
40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter,

What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed [is] willing, but the flesh [is] weak.
42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying,

O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
43 And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.
44 And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.
45 Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take [your] rest:

behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
46 Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.
47 And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came,

and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.
48 Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying,

Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.
49 And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him.
50 And Jesus said unto him,

Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.
51 And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out [his] hand, and drew his sword,

and struck a servant of the high priests, and smote off his ear.
52 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place:

for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.
53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father,

and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?
54 But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?
55 In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes,

Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me?

I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me.
56 But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.

Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.
57 And they that had laid hold on Jesus led [him] away to Caiaphas the high priest,

where the scribes and the elders were assembled.
58 But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priests palace,

and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.
59 Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council,

sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death;
60 But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, [yet] found they none.

At the last came two false witnesses,
61 And said, This [fellow] said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.
62 And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing?

what [is it which] these witness against thee?
63 But Jesus held his peace.

And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God,

that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God
64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said:

nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power,

and coming in the clouds of heaven.
65 Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy;

what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.
66 What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.
67 Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote [him] with the palms of their hands,
68 Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?
69 Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying,

Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.
70 But he denied before [them] all, saying, I know not what thou sayest.
71 And when he was gone out into the porch, another [maid] saw him, and said unto them that were there,

This [fellow] was also with Jesus of Nazareth.
72 And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.
73 And after a while came unto [him] they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art [one] of them; for thy speech betrayeth thee.
74 Then began he to curse and to swear, [saying], I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.
75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him,

Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.
1 When the morning was come,

all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:
2 And when they had bound him, they led [him] away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.
3 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself,

and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood.

And they said, What [is that] to us? see thou [to that].
5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.
6 And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said,

It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.
7 And they took counsel, and bought with them the potters field, to bury strangers in.
8 Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.
9 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying,

And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued,

whom they of the children of Israel did value;
10 And gave them for the potters field, as the Lord appointed me.
11 And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying,

Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.
12 And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.
13 Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?
14 And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.
15 Now at [that] feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.
16 And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.
17 Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them,

Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?
18 For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.
19 When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying,

Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.
20 But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.
21 The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you?

They said, Barabbas.
22 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ?

[They] all say unto him, Let him be crucified.
23 And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done?

But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.
24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but [that] rather a tumult was made, he took water,

and washed [his] hands before the multitude, saying,

I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye [to it].
25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood [be] on us, and on our children.
26 Then released he Barabbas unto them:

and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered [him] to be crucified.
27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall,

and gathered unto him the whole band [of soldiers].
28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.
29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put [it] upon his head, and a reed in his right hand:

and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
30 And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.
31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him,

and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify [him].
32 And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name:

him they compelled to bear his cross.
33 And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull,
34 They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted [thereof], he would not drink.
35 And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots:

that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet,

They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.
36 And sitting down they watched him there;
37 And set up over his head his accusation written,

THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
38 Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.
39 And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,
40 And saying,

Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest [it] in three days, save thyself.

If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.
41 Likewise also the chief priests mocking [him], with the scribes and elders, said,
42 He saved others; himself he cannot save.

If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.
43 He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.
44 The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.
45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.
46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying,

Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
47 Some of them that stood there, when they heard [that], said, This [man] calleth for Elias.
48 And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled [it] with vinegar,

and put [it] on a reed, and gave him to drink.
49 The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.
50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom;

and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake,

and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying,

Truly this was the Son of God.
55 And many women were there beholding afar off,

which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:
56 Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses,

and the mother of Zebedees children.
57 When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph,

who also himself was Jesus disciple:
58 He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.
59 And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
60 And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock:

and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.
61 And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre.
62 Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation,

the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,
63 Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said,

while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.
64 Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day,

lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people,

He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.
65 Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make [it] as sure as ye can.
66 So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.

弟子たちもみな同じように言った。
36 それから、イエスは彼らと一緒に、ゲツセマネという所へ行かれた。

そして弟子たちに言われた、「わたしが向こうへ行って祈っている間、ここにすわっていなさい」。
37 そしてペテロとゼベダイの子ふたりとを連れて行かれたが、悲しみを催しまた悩みはじめられた。
38 そのとき、彼らに言われた、「わたしは悲しみのあまり死ぬほどである。

ここに待っていて、わたしと一緒に目をさましていなさい」。
39 そして少し進んで行き、うつぶしになり、祈って言われた、

「わが父よ、もしできることでしたらどうか、この杯をわたしから過ぎ去らせてください。

しかし、わたしの思いのままにではなく、みこころのままになさって下さい」。
40 それから、弟子たちの所にきてごらんになると、彼らが眠っていたので、ペテロに言われた、

「あなたがたはそんなに、ひと時もわたしと一緒に目をさましていることが、できなかったのか。
41 誘惑に陥らないように、目をさまして祈っていなさい。心は熱しているが、肉体が弱いのである」。
42 また二度目に行って、祈って言われた、

「わが父よ、この杯を飲むほかに道がないのでしたら、どうか、みこころが行われますように」。
43 またきてごらんになると、彼らはまた眠っていた。その目が重くなっていたのである。
44 それで彼らをそのままにして、また行って、三度目に同じ言葉で祈られた。
45 それから弟子たちの所に帰ってきて、言われた、

「まだ眠っているのか、休んでいるのか。見よ、時が迫った。人の子は罪人らの手に渡されるのだ。
46 立て、さあ行こう。見よ、わたしを裏切る者が近づいてきた」。
47 そして、イエスがまだ話しておられるうちに、そこに、十二弟子のひとりのユダがきた。

また祭司長、民の長老たちから送られた大ぜいの群衆も、剣と棒とを持って彼についてきた。
48 イエスを裏切った者が、あらかじめ彼らに、「わたしの接吻する者が、その人だ。

その人をつかまえろ」と合図をしておいた。
49 彼はすぐイエスに近寄り、「先生、いかがですか」と言って、イエスに接吻した。
50 しかし、イエスは彼に言われた、「友よ、なんのためにきたのか」。

このとき、人々は進み寄って、イエスに手をかけてつかまえた。

51 すると、イエスと一緒にいた者のひとりが、手を伸ばして剣を抜き、

そして大祭司の僕に切りかかって、その片耳を切り落した。
52 そこで、イエスは彼に言われた、「あなたの剣をもとの所におさめなさい。剣をとる者はみな、剣で滅びる。
53 それとも、わたしが父に願って、天の使たちを十二軍団以上も、

今つかわしていただくことができないと、あなたは思うのか。
54 しかし、それでは、こうならねばならないと書いてある聖書の言葉は、どうして成就されようか」。
55 そのとき、イエスは群衆に言われた、

「あなたがたは強盗にむかうように、剣や棒を持ってわたしを捕えにきたのか。

わたしは毎日、宮ですわって教えていたのに、わたしをつかまえはしなかった。
56 しかし、すべてこうなったのは、預言者たちの書いたことが、成就するためである」。

そのとき、弟子たちは皆イエスを見捨てて逃げ去った。
57 さて、イエスをつかまえた人たちは、大祭司カヤパのところにイエスを連れて行った。

そこには律法学者、長老たちが集まっていた。
58 ペテロは遠くからイエスについて、大祭司の中庭まで行き、そのなりゆきを見とどけるために、

中にはいって下役どもと一緒にすわっていた。
59 さて、祭司長たちと全議会とは、イエスを死刑にするため、イエスに不利な偽証を求めようとしていた。
60 そこで多くの偽証者が出てきたが、証拠があがらなかった。しかし、最後にふたりの者が出てきて、
61 言った、「この人は、わたしは神の宮を打ちこわし、三日の後に建てることができる、と言いました」。
62 すると、大祭司が立ち上がってイエスに言った、

「何も答えないのか。これらの人々があなたに対して不利な証言を申し立てているが、どうなのか」。
63 しかし、イエスは黙っておられた。

そこで大祭司は言った、「あなたは神の子キリストなのかどうか、生ける神に誓ってわれわれに答えよ」。
64 イエスは彼に言われた、「あなたの言うとおりである。しかし、わたしは言っておく。

あなたがたは、間もなく、人の子が力ある者の右に座し、天の雲に乗って来るのを見るであろう」。
65 すると、大祭司はその衣を引き裂いて言った、

「彼は神を汚した。どうしてこれ以上、証人の必要があろう。あなたがたは今このけがし言を聞いた。
66 あなたがたの意見はどうか」。すると、彼らは答えて言った、「彼は死に当るものだ」。
67 それから、彼らはイエスの顔につばきをかけて、こぶしで打ち、またある人は手のひらでたたいて言った、
68 「キリストよ、言いあててみよ、打ったのはだれか」。
69 ペテロは外で中庭にすわっていた。

するとひとりの女中が彼のところにきて、「あなたもあのガリラヤ人イエスと一緒だった」と言った。
70 するとペテロは、みんなの前でそれを打ち消して言った、「あなたが何を言っているのか、わからない」。
71 そう言って入口の方に出て行くと、ほかの女中が彼を見て、そこにいる人々にむかって、

「この人はナザレ人イエスと一緒だった」と言った。
72 そこで彼は再びそれを打ち消して、「そんな人は知らない」と誓って言った。
73 しばらくして、そこに立っていた人々が近寄ってきて、ペテロに言った、

「確かにあなたも彼らの仲間だ。言葉づかいであなたのことがわかる」。
74 彼は「その人のことは何も知らない」と言って、激しく誓いはじめた。するとすぐ鶏が鳴いた。
75 ペテロは「鶏が鳴く前に、三度わたしを知らないと言うであろう」と言われたイエスの言葉を思い出し、

外に出て激しく泣いた。
1 夜が明けると、祭司長たち、民の長老たち一同は、イエスを殺そうとして協議をこらした上、
2 イエスを縛って引き出し、総督ピラトに渡した。
3 そのとき、イエスを裏切ったユダは、

イエスが罪に定められたのを見て後悔し、銀貨三十枚を祭司長、長老たちに返して
4 言った、「わたしは罪のない人の血を売るようなことをして、罪を犯しました」。

しかし彼らは言った、「それは、われわれの知ったことか。自分で始末するがよい」。
5 そこで、彼は銀貨を聖所に投げ込んで出て行き、首をつって死んだ。
6 祭司長たちは、その銀貨を拾いあげて言った、

「これは血の代価だから、宮の金庫に入れるのはよくのない」。
7 そこで彼らは協議の上、外国人の墓地にするために、その金で陶器師の畑を買った。
8 そのために、この畑は今日まで血の畑と呼ばれている。
9 こうして預言者エレミヤによって言われた言葉が、成就したのである。

すなわち、「彼らは、値をつけられたもの、すなわち、イスラエルの子らが値をつけたものの代価、銀貨三十を取って、
10 主がお命じになったように、陶器師の畑の代価として、その金を与えた」。
11 さて、イエスは総督の前に立たれた。

すると総督はイエスに尋ねて言った、「あなたがユダヤ人の王であるか」。

イエスは「そのとおりである」と言われた。
12 しかし、祭司長、長老たちが訴えている間、イエスはひと言もお答えにならなかった。
13 するとピラトは言った、

「あんなにまで次々に、あなたに不利な証言を立てているのが、あなたには聞えないのか」。
14 しかし、総督が非常に不思議に思ったほどに、イエスは何を言われても、ひと言もお答えにならなかった。
15 さて、祭のたびごとに、総督は群衆が願い出る囚人ひとりを、ゆるしてやる慣例になっていた。
16 ときに、バラバという評判の囚人がいた。
17 それで、彼らが集まったとき、ピラトは言った、

「おまえたちは、だれをゆるしてほしいのか。バラバか、それとも、キリストといわれるイエスか」。
18 彼らがイエスを引きわたしたのは、ねたみのためであることが、ピラトにはよくわかっていたからである。
19 また、ピラトが裁判の席についていたとき、その妻が人を彼のもとにつかわして、

「あの義人には関係しないでください。わたしはきょう夢で、あの人のためにさんざん苦しみましたから」と言わせた。
20 しかし、祭司長、長老たちは、バラバをゆるして、イエスを殺してもらうようにと、群衆を説き伏せた。
21 総督は彼らにむかって言った、「ふたりのうち、どちらをゆるしてほしいのか」。

彼らは「バラバの方を」と言った。
22 ピラトは言った、「それではキリストといわれるイエスは、どうしたらよいか」。

彼らはいっせいに「十字架につけよ」と言った。
23 しかし、ピラトは言った、「あの人は、いったい、どんな悪事をしたのか」。

すると彼らはいっそう激しく叫んで、「十字架につけよ」と言った。
24 ピラトは手のつけようがなく、かえって暴動になりそうなのを見て、

水を取り、群衆の前で手を洗って言った、

「この人の血について、わたしには責任がない。おまえたちが自分で始末をするがよい」。
25 すると、民衆全体が答えて言った、

「その血の責任は、われわれとわれわれの子孫の上にかかってもよい」。
26 そこで、ピラトはバラバをゆるしてやり、イエスをむち打ったのち、十字架につけるために引きわたした。
27 それから総督の兵士たちは、イエスを官邸に連れて行って、全部隊をイエスのまわりに集めた。
28 そしてその上着をぬがせて、赤い外套を着せ、
29 また、いばらで冠を編んでその頭にかぶらせ、右の手には葦の棒を持たせ、

それからその前にひざまずき、嘲弄して、「ユダヤ人の王、ばんざい」と言った。
30 また、イエスにつばきをかけ、葦の棒を取りあげてその頭をたたいた。
31 こうしてイエスを嘲弄したあげく、外套をはぎ取って元の上着を着せ、

それから十字架につけるために引き出した。
32 彼らが出て行くと、シモンという名のクレネ人に出会ったので、イエスの十字架を無理に負わせた。
33 そして、ゴルゴダ、すなわち、されこうべの場、という所にきたとき、
34 彼らはにがみをまぜたぶどう酒を飲ませようとしたが、

イエスはそれをなめただけで、飲もうとされなかった。
35 彼らはイエスを十字架につけてから、くじを引いて、その着物を分け、
36 そこにすわってイエスの番をしていた。
37 そしてその頭の上の方に、「これはユダヤ人の王イエス」と書いた罪状書きをかかげた。
38 同時に、ふたりの強盗がイエスと一緒に、ひとりは右に、ひとりは左に、十字架につけられた。
39 そこを通りかかった者たちは、頭を振りながら、イエスをののしって
40 言った、「神殿を打ちこわして三日のうちに建てる者よ。

もし神の子なら、自分を救え。そして十字架からおりてこい」。
41 祭司長たちも同じように、律法学者、長老たちと一緒になって、嘲弄して言った、
42 「他人を救ったが、自分自身を救うことができない。

あれがイスラエルの王なのだ。いま十字架からおりてみよ。そうしたら信じよう。
43 彼は神にたよっているが、神のおぼしめしがあれば、今、救ってもらうがよい。

自分は神の子だと言っていたのだから」。
44 一緒に十字架につけられた強盗どもまでも、同じようにイエスをののしった。
45 さて、昼の十二時から地上の全面が暗くなって、三時に及んだ。
46 そして三時ごろに、イエスは大声で叫んで、「エリ、エリ、レマ、サバクタニ」と言われた。

それは「わが神、わが神、どうしてわたしをお見捨てになったのですか」という意味である。
47 すると、そこに立っていたある人々が、これを聞いて言った、「あれはエリヤを呼んでいるのだ」。
48 するとすぐ、彼らのうちのひとりが走り寄って、海綿を取り、

それに酢いぶどう酒を含ませて葦の棒につけ、イエスに飲ませようとした。
49 ほかの人々は言った、「待て、エリヤが彼を救いに来るかどうか、見ていよう」。
50 イエスはもう一度大声で叫んで、ついに息をひきとられた。
51 すると見よ、神殿の幕が上から下まで真二つに裂けた。また地震があり、岩が裂け、
52 また墓が開け、眠っている多くの聖徒たちの死体が生き返った。
53 そしてイエスの复活ののち、墓から出てきて、聖なる都にはいり、多くの人に現れた。
54 百卒長、および彼と一緒にイエスの番をしていた人々は、地震や、いろいろのできごとを見て非常に恐れ、

「まことに、この人は神の子であった」と言った。
55 また、そこには遠くの方から見ている女たちも多くいた。

彼らはイエスに仕えて、ガリラヤから従ってきた人たちであった。
56 その中には、マグダラのマリヤ、ヤコブとヨセフとの母マリヤ、またゼベダイの子たちの母がいた。
57 夕方になってから、アリマタヤの金持で、ヨセフという名の人がきた。彼もまたイエスの弟子であった。
58 この人がピラトの所へ行って、イエスのからだの引取りかたを願った。

そこで、ピラトはそれを渡すように命じた。
59 ヨセフは死体を受け取って、きれいな亜麻布に包み、
60 岩を掘って造った彼の新しい墓に納め、そして墓の入口に大きい石をころがしておいて、帰った。
61 マグダラのマリヤとほかのマリヤとが、墓にむかってそこにすわっていた。
62 あくる日は準備の日の翌日であったが、

その日に、祭司長、パリサイ人たちは、ピラトのもとに集まって言った、
63 「長官、あの偽り者がまだ生きていたとき、

『三日の後に自分はよみがえる』と言ったのを、思い出しました。
64 ですから、三日目まで墓の番をするように、さしずをして下さい。そうしないと、弟子たちがきて彼を盗み出し、『イエスは死人の中から、よみがえった』と、民衆に言いふらすかも知れません。

そうなると、みんなが前よりも、もっとひどくだまされることになりましょう」。
65 ピラトは彼らに言った、「番人がいるから、行ってできる限り、番をさせるがよい」。
66 そこで、彼らは行って石に封印をし、番人を置いて墓の番をさせた。

너희는 내가 누구를 너희에게 놓아 주기를 원하느냐 바라바냐 그리스도라 하는 예수냐 하니

19 총독이 재판 자리에 앉았을 때에 그 아내가 사람을 보내어 가로되

저 옳은 사람에게 아무 상관도 하지 마옵소서 오늘 꿈에 내가 그 사람을 인하여 애를 많이 썼나이다 하더라
20 대제사장들과 장로들이 무리를 권하여 바라바를 달라 하게 하고 예수를 멸하자 하게 하였더니
21 총독이 대답하여 가로되 둘 중에 누구를 너희에게 놓아 주기를 원하느냐 가로되 바라바로소이다
22 빌라도가 가로되 그러면 그리스도라 하는 예수를 내가 어떻게 하랴 저희가 다 가로되

십자가에 못 박혀야 하겠나이다
23 빌라도가 가로되 어찜이뇨 무슨 악한 일을 하였느냐 저희가 더욱 소리질러 가로되

십자가에 못 박혀야 하겠나이다 하는지라
24 빌라도가 아무 효험도 없이 도리어 민란이 나려는 것을 보고 물을 가져다가 무리 앞에서 손을 씻으며 가로되

이 사람의 피에 대하여 나는 무죄하니 너희가 당하라
25 백성이 다 대답하여 가로되 그 피를 우리와 우리 자손에게 돌릴지어다 하거늘
26 이에 바라바는 저희에게 놓아주고 예수는 채찍질하고 십자가에 못박히게 넘겨주니라

[군병들이 예수를 희롱하다]
27 이에 총독의 군병들이 예수를 데리고 관정 안으로 들어가서 온 군대를 그에게로 모으고
28 그의 옷을 벗기고 홍포를 입히며
29 가시 면류관을 엮어 그 머리에 씌우고 갈대를 그 오른손에 들리고

그 앞에서 무릎을 꿇고 희롱하여 가로되 유대인의 왕이여 평안할지어다 하며
30 그에게 침 뱉고 갈대를 빼앗아 그의 머리를 치더라
31 희롱을 다한 후 홍포를 벗기고 도로 그의 옷을 입혀 십자가에 못 박으려고 끌고 나가니라

[십자가에 못 박히시다]
32 나가다가 시몬이란 구레네 사람을 만나매 그를 억지로 같이 가게 하여 예수의 십자가를 지웠더라
33 골고다 즉 해골의 곳이라는 곳에 이르러
34 쓸개탄 포도주를 예수께 주어 마시게 하려 하였더니 예수께서 맛보시고 마시고자 아니하시더라
35 저희가 예수를 십자가에 못 박은 후에 그 옷을 제비 뽑아 나누고
36 거기 앉아 지키더라
37 그 머리 위에 이는 유대인의 왕 예수라 쓴 죄패를 붙였더라
38 이 때에 예수와 함께 강도 둘이 십자가에 못 박히니 하나는 우편에, 하나는 좌편에 있더라
39 지나가는 자들은 자기 머리를 흔들며 예수를 모욕하여

42 저가 남은 구원하였으되 자기는 구원할 수 없도다

저가 이스라엘의 왕이로다 지금 십자가에서 내려올지어다 그러면 우리가 믿겠노라
43 저가 하나님을 신뢰하니 하나님이 저를 기뻐하시면 이제 구원하실지라 제 말이 나는 하나님의 아들이라 하였도다 하며
44 함께 십자가에 못 박힌 강도들도 이와 같이 욕하더라

[영혼이 떠나시다]
45 제 육시로부터 온 땅에 어두움이 임하여 제 구시까지 계속하더니
46 제 구시 즈음에 예수께서 크게 소리질러 가라사대

엘리 엘리 라마 사박다니 하시니 이는 곧 나의 하나님, 나의 하나님, 어찌하여 나를 버리셨나이까 하는 뜻이라
47 거기 섰던 자 중 어떤이들이 듣고 가로되 이 사람이 엘리야를 부른다 하고
48 그 중에 한 사람이 곧 달려가서 해융을 가지고 신 포도주를 머금게 하여 갈대에 꿰어 마시우거늘
49 그 남은 사람들이 가로되 가만 두어라 엘리야가 와서 저를 구원하나 보자 하더라
50 예수께서 다시 크게 소리 지르시고 영혼이 떠나시다
51 이에 성소 휘장이 위로부터 아래까지 찢어져 둘이 되고 땅이 진동하며 바위가 터지고
52 무덤들이 열리며 자던 성도의 몸이 많이 일어나되
53 예수의 부활 후에 저희가 무덤에서 나와서 거룩한 성에 들어가 많은 사람에게 보이니라
54 백부장과 및 함께 예수를 지키던 자들이 지진과 그 되는 일들을 보고 심히 두려워하여 가로되

11 And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying,

Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.
12 And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.
13 Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?
14 And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.
15 Now at [that] feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.
16 And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.
17 Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them,

Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?
18 For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.
19 When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying,

Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.
20 But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.
21 The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you?

They said, Barabbas.
22 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ?

[They] all say unto him, Let him be crucified.
23 And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done?

But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.
24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but [that] rather a tumult was made, he took water,

and washed [his] hands before the multitude, saying,

I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye [to it].
25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood [be] on us, and on our children.
26 Then released he Barabbas unto them:

and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered [him] to be crucified.
27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall,

and gathered unto him the whole band [of soldiers].
28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.
29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put [it] upon his head, and a reed in his right hand:

and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
30 And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.
31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him,

and led him away to crucify [him].
32 And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.
33 And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull,
34 They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted [thereof], he would not drink.
35 And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots:

that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet,

They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.
36 And sitting down they watched him there;
37 And set up over his head his accusation written,

THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
38 Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.
39 And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,
40 And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest [it] in three days, save thyself.

If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.
41 Likewise also the chief priests mocking [him], with the scribes and elders, said,
42 He saved others; himself he cannot save.

If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.
43 He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.
44 The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.
45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.
46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?

that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
47 Some of them that stood there, when they heard [that], said, This [man] calleth for Elias.
48 And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled [it] with vinegar,

and put [it] on a reed, and gave him to drink.
49 The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.
50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom;

and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake,

and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

18 彼らがイエスを引きわたしたのは、ねたみのためであることが、ピラトにはよくわかっていたからである。
19 また、ピラトが裁判の席についていたとき、その妻が人を彼のもとにつかわして、

「あの義人には関係しないでください。わたしはきょう夢で、あの人のためにさんざん苦しみましたから」と言わせた。
20 しかし、祭司長、長老たちは、バラバをゆるして、イエスを殺してもらうようにと、群衆を説き伏せた。
21 総督は彼らにむかって言った、「ふたりのうち、どちらをゆるしてほしいのか」。

彼らは「バラバの方を」と言った。
22 ピラトは言った、「それではキリストといわれるイエスは、どうしたらよいか」。

彼らはいっせいに「十字架につけよ」と言った。
23 しかし、ピラトは言った、「あの人は、いったい、どんな悪事をしたのか」。

すると彼らはいっそう激しく叫んで、「十字架につけよ」と言った。
24 ピラトは手のつけようがなく、かえって暴動になりそうなのを見て、

水を取り、群衆の前で手を洗って言った、

「この人の血について、わたしには責任がない。おまえたちが自分で始末をするがよい」。
25 すると、民衆全体が答えて言った、

「その血の責任は、われわれとわれわれの子孫の上にかかってもよい」。
26 そこで、ピラトはバラバをゆるしてやり、イエスをむち打ったのち、十字架につけるために引きわたした。
27 それから総督の兵士たちは、イエスを官邸に連れて行って、全部隊をイエスのまわりに集めた。
28 そしてその上着をぬがせて、赤い外套を着せ、
29 また、いばらで冠を編んでその頭にかぶらせ、右の手には葦の棒を持たせ、

それからその前にひざまずき、嘲弄して、「ユダヤ人の王、ばんざい」と言った。
30 また、イエスにつばきをかけ、葦の棒を取りあげてその頭をたたいた。
31 こうしてイエスを嘲弄したあげく、外套をはぎ取って元の上着を着せ、

それから十字架につけるために引き出した。
32 彼らが出て行くと、シモンという名のクレネ人に出会ったので、イエスの十字架を無理に負わせた。
33 そして、ゴルゴダ、すなわち、されこうべの場、という所にきたとき、
34 彼らはにがみをまぜたぶどう酒を飲ませようとしたが、イエスはそれをなめただけで、飲もうとされなかった。
35 彼らはイエスを十字架につけてから、くじを引いて、その着物を分け、
36 そこにすわってイエスの番をしていた。
37 そしてその頭の上の方に、「これはユダヤ人の王イエス」と書いた罪状書きをかかげた。
38 同時に、ふたりの強盗がイエスと一緒に、ひとりは右に、ひとりは左に、十字架につけられた。
39 そこを通りかかった者たちは、頭を振りながら、イエスをののしって
40 言った、「神殿を打ちこわして三日のうちに建てる者よ。

もし神の子なら、自分を救え。そして十字架からおりてこい」。
41 祭司長たちも同じように、律法学者、長老たちと一緒になって、嘲弄して言った、
42 「他人を救ったが、自分自身を救うことができない。あれがイスラエルの王なのだ。

いま十字架からおりてみよ。そうしたら信じよう。
43 彼は神にたよっているが、神のおぼしめしがあれば、今、救ってもらうがよい。

自分は神の子だと言っていたのだから」。
44 一緒に十字架につけられた強盗どもまでも、同じようにイエスをののしった。
45 さて、昼の十二時から地上の全面が暗くなって、三時に及んだ。
46 そして三時ごろに、イエスは大声で叫んで、「エリ、エリ、レマ、サバクタニ」と言われた。

それは「わが神、わが神、どうしてわたしをお見捨てになったのですか」という意味である。
47 すると、そこに立っていたある人々が、これを聞いて言った、「あれはエリヤを呼んでいるのだ」。
48 するとすぐ、彼らのうちのひとりが走り寄って、海綿を取り、

それに酢いぶどう酒を含ませて葦の棒につけ、イエスに飲ませようとした。
49 ほかの人々は言った、「待て、エリヤが彼を救いに来るかどうか、見ていよう」。
50 イエスはもう一度大声で叫んで、ついに息をひきとられた。
51 すると見よ、神殿の幕が上から下まで真二つに裂けた。また地震があり、岩が裂け、
52 また墓が開け、眠っている多くの聖徒たちの死体が生き返った。
53 そしてイエスの复活ののち、墓から出てきて、聖なる都にはいり、多くの人に現れた。
54 百卒長、および彼と一緒にイエスの番をしていた人々は、

地震や、いろいろのできごとを見て非常に恐れ、「まことに、この人は神の子であった」と言った。
