[이삭의 아내]
34 그가 가로되 나는 아브라함의 종이니이다
35 여호와께서 나의 주인에게 크게 복을 주어 창성케 하시되

우양과 은금과 노비와 약대와 나귀를 그에게 주셨고
36 나의 주인의 부인 사라가 노년에 나의 주인에게 아들을 낳으매

주인이 그 모든 소유를 그 아들에게 주었나이다
37 나의 주인이 나로 맹세하게 하여 가로되

너는 내 아들을 위하여 나 사는 땅 가나안 족속의 딸 중에서 아내를 택하지 말고
38 내 아비 집 내 족속에게로 가서 내 아들을 위하여 아내를 택하라 하시기로
42 내가 오늘 우물에 이르러 말씀하기를

나의 주인 아브라함의 하나님 여호와여 만일 나의 행하는 길에 형통함을 주실진대
43 내가 이 우물 곁에 섰다가 청년 여자가 물을 길러 오거든

내가 그에게 청하기를 너는 물 항아리의 물을 내게 조금 마시우라 하여
44 그의 대답이 당신은 마시라 내가 또 당신의 약대를 위하여도 길으리라 하면

그 여자는 여호와께서 나의 주인의 아들을 위하여 정하여 주신 자가 되리이다 하며
45 내가 묵도하기를 마치지 못하여

리브가가 물 항아리를 어깨에 메고 나와서 우물로 내려와 긷기로

내가 그에게 이르기를 청컨대 내게 마시우라 한즉
46 그가 급히 물 항아리를 어깨에서 내리며 가로되

마시라 내가 당신의 약대에게도 마시우리라 하기로 내가 마시매 그가 또 약대에게도 마시운지라
47 내가 그에게 묻기를 네가 뉘 딸이뇨 한즉

가로되 밀가가 나홀에게 낳은 브두엘의 딸이라 하기로

내가 고리를 그 코에 꿰고 손목고리를 그 손에 끼우고
48 나의 주인 아브라함의 하나님 여호와께서 나를 바른 길로 인도하사

나의 주인의 동생의 딸을 그 아들을 위하여 택하게 하셨으므로

내가 머리를 숙여 그에게 경배하고 찬송하였나이다
49 이제 당신들이 인자와 진실로 나의 주인을 대접하려거든 내게 고하시고 그렇지 않을지라도 내게 고하여

나로 좌우간 행하게 하소서
58 리브가를 불러 그에게 이르되 네가 이 사람과 함께 가려느냐 그가 대답하되 가겠나이다
59 그들이 그 누이 리브가와 그의 유모와 아브라함의 종과 종자들을 보내며
60 리브가에게 축복하여 가로되

우리 누이여 너는 천만인의 어미가 될지어다 네 씨로 그 원수의 성문을 얻게 할지어다
61 리브가가 일어나 비자와 함께 약대를 타고 그 사람을 따라가니 종이 리브가를 데리고 가니라
62 때에 이삭이 브엘 라해로이에서 왔으니 그가 남방에 거하였었음이라
63 이삭이 저물 때에 들에 나가 묵상하다가 눈을 들어 보매 약대들이 오더라
64 리브가가 눈을 들어 이삭을 바라보고 약대에서 내려
65 종에게 말하되 들에서 배회하다가 우리에게로 마주 오는 자가 누구뇨

종이 가로되 이는 내 주인이니이다 리브가가 면박을 취하여 스스로 가리우더라
66 종이 그 행한 일을 다 이삭에게 고하매
67 이삭이 리브가를 인도하여 모친 사라의 장막으로 들이고

그를 취하여 아내를 삼고 사랑하였으니 이삭이 모친 상사 후에 위로를 얻었더라

34 And he said, I [am] Abrahams servant.
35 And the LORD hath blessed my master greatly;

and he is become great: and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold,

and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses.
36 And Sarah my masters wife bare a son to my master when she was old:

and unto him hath he given all that he hath.
37 And my master made me swear, saying,

Thou shalt not take a wife to my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell:
38 But thou shalt go unto my fathers house, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son.
42 And I came this day unto the well, and said,

O LORD God of my master Abraham, if now thou do prosper my way which I go:
43 Behold,

I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass, that when the virgin cometh forth to draw [water],

and I say to her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water of thy pitcher to drink;
44 And she say to me, Both drink thou, and I will also draw for thy camels:

[let] the same [be] the woman whom the LORD hath appointed out for my masters son.
45 And before I had done speaking in mine heart, behold, Rebekah came forth with her pitcher on her shoulder;

and she went down unto the well, and drew [water]:

and I said unto her, Let me drink, I pray thee.
46 And she made haste, and let down her pitcher from her [shoulder], and said,

Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: so I drank, and she made the camels drink also.
47 And I asked her, and said,

Whose daughter [art] thou?

And she said, The daughter of Bethuel, Nahors son, whom Milcah bare unto him:

and I put the earring upon her face, and the bracelets upon her hands.
48 And I bowed down my head, and worshipped the LORD,

and blessed the LORD God of my master Abraham,

which had led me in the right way to take my masters brothers daughter unto his son.
49 And now if ye will deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me:

and if not, tell me;

that I may turn to the right hand, or to the left.
58 And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Wilt thou go with this man? And she said, I will go.
59 And they sent away Rebekah their sister, and her nurse, and Abrahams servant, and his men.
60 And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her,

Thou [art] our sister, be thou [the mother] of thousands of millions,

and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them.
61 And Rebekah arose, and her damsels, and they rode upon the camels, and followed the man:

and the servant took Rebekah, and went his way.
62 And Isaac came from the way of the well Lahairoi; for he dwelt in the south country.
63 And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide:

and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels [were] coming.
64 And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel.
65 For she [had] said unto the servant, What man [is] this that walketh in the field to meet us?

And the servant [had] said, It [is] my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself.
66 And the servant told Isaac all things that he had done.
67 And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarahs tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife;

and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mothers [death].

34 そこで彼は言った、「わたしはアブラハムのしもべです。
35 主はわたしの主人を大いに祝福して、大いなる者とされました。

主はまた彼に羊、牛、銀、金、男女の奴隷、らくだ、ろばを与えられました。
36 主人の妻サラは年老いてから、主人に男の子を産みました。主人はその所有を皆これに与えました。
37 ところで主人はわたしに誓わせて言いました、

『わたしの住んでいる地のカナンびとの娘を、わたしの子の妻にめとってはならない。
38 おまえはわたしの父の家、親族の所へ行って、わたしの子に妻をめとらなければならない』。
42 わたしはきょう、泉のところにきて言いました、

『主人アブラハムの神、主よ、どうか今わたしのゆく道にさいわいを与えてください。
43 わたしはこの泉のそばに立っていますが、水をくみに出てくる娘に向かって、

「お願いです。あなたの水がめの水を少し飲ませてください」と言い、
44 「お飲みください。あなたのらくだのためにも、くみましょう」とわたしに言うなら、

その娘こそ、主がわたしの主人の子のために定められた女ということにしてください』。
45 わたしが心のうちでそう言い終らないうちに、

リベカが水がめを肩に載せて出てきて、水をくみに泉に降りたので、

わたしは『お願いです、飲ませてください』と言いますと、
46 彼女は急いで水がめを肩からおろし、

『お飲みください。わたしはあなたのらくだにも飲ませましょう』と言いました。

それでわたしは飲みましたが、彼女はらくだにも飲ませました。
47 わたしは彼女に尋ねて、『あなたはだれの娘ですか』と言いますと、

『ナホルとその妻ミルカの子ベトエルの娘です』と答えました。

そこでわたしは彼女の鼻に鼻輪をつけ、手に腕輪をつけました。
48 そしてわたしは頭をさげて主を拝し、主人アブラハムの神、主をほめたたえました。

主は主人の兄弟の娘を子にめとらせようと、わたしを正しい道に導かれたからです。
49 あなたがたが、もしわたしの主人にいつくしみと、まことを尽そうと思われるなら、

そうとわたしにお話しください。

そうでなければ、そうでないとお話しください。

それによってわたしは右か左に決めましょう」。
58 彼らはリベカを呼んで言った、「あなたはこの人と一緒に行きますか」。

彼女は言った、「行きます」。
59 そこで彼らは妹リベカと、そのうばと、アブラハムのしもべと、その従者とを送り去らせた。
60 彼らはリベカを祝福して彼女に言った、

／「妹よ、あなたは、ちよろずの人の母となれ。あなたの子孫はその敵の門を打ち取れ」。
61 リベカは立って侍女たちと共にらくだに乗り、その人に従って行った。

しもべはリベカを連れて立ち去った。
62 さてイサクはベエル․ラハイ․ロイからきて、ネゲブの地に住んでいた。
63 イサクは夕暮、野に出て歩いていたが、目をあげて、らくだの来るのを見た。
64 リベカは目をあげてイサクを見、らくだからおりて、
65 しもべに言った、「わたしたちに向かって、野を歩いて来るあの人はだれでしょう」。

しもべは言った、「あれはわたしの主人です」。

するとリベカは、被衣で身をおおった。
66 しもべは自分がしたことのすべてをイサクに話した。
67 イサクはリベカを天幕に連れて行き、リベカをめとって妻とし、彼女を愛した。

こうしてイサクは母の死後、慰めを得た。

9 시온의 딸아 크게 기뻐할찌어다 예루살렘의 딸아 즐거이 부를찌어다

보라 네 왕이 네게 임하나니

그는 공의로우며 구원을 베풀며 겸손하여서 나귀를 타나니 나귀의 작은 것 곧 나귀새끼니라
10 내가 에브라임의 병거와 예루살렘의 말을 끊겠고 전쟁하는 활도 끊으리니

그가 이방 사람에게 화평을 전할 것이요

he [is] just, and having salvation;

10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear;

forget also thine own people, and thy fathers house;
11 So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he [is] thy Lord; and worship thou him.

[혼인 관계로 비유한 율법과 죄]
15 나의 행하는 것을 내가 알지 못하노니

곧 원하는 이것은 행하지 아니하고 도리어 미워하는 그것을 함이라
16 만일 내가 원치 아니하는 그것을 하면 내가 이로 율법의 선한 것을 시인하노니
17 이제는 이것을 행하는 자가 내가 아니요 내 속에 거하는 죄니라
18 내 속 곧 내 육신에 선한 것이 거하지 아니하는 줄을 아노니 원함은 내게 있으나 선을 행하는 것은 없노라

15 わたしは自分のしていることが、わからない。

なぜなら、わたしは自分の欲する事は行わず、かえって自分の憎む事をしているからである。
16 もし、自分の欲しない事をしているとすれば、

わたしは律法が良いものであることを承認していることになる。
17 そこで、この事をしているのは、もはやわたしではなく、わたしの内に宿っている罪である。
18 わたしの内に、すなわち、わたしの肉の内には、善なるものが宿っていないことを、わたしは知っている。

なぜなら、善をしようとする意志は、自分にあるが、それをする力がないからである。
19 すなわち、わたしの欲している善はしないで、欲していない悪は、これを行っている。
20 もし、欲しないことをしているとすれば、それをしているのは、もはやわたしではなく、

わたしの内に宿っている罪である。
21 そこで、善をしようと欲しているわたしに、悪がはいり込んでいるという法則があるのを見る。
22 すなわち、わたしは、内なる人としては神の律法を喜んでいるが、
23 わたしの肢体には別の律法があって、わたしの心の法則に対して戦いをいどみ、

そして、肢体に存在する罪の法則の中に、わたしをとりこにしているのを見る。
24 わたしは、なんというみじめな人間なのだろう。

だれが、この死のからだから、わたしを救ってくれるだろうか。
25 わたしたちの主イエス․キリストによって、神は感謝すべきかな。

16 이 세대를 무엇으로 비유할꼬 비유컨대 아이들이 장터에 앉아 제 동무를 불러
17 가로되 우리가 너희를 향하여 피리를 불어도 너희가 춤추지 않고

우리가 애곡하여도 너희가 가슴을 치지 아니하였다 함과 같도다
18 요한이 와서 먹지도 않고 마시지도 아니하매 저희가 말하기를 귀신이 들렸다 하더니
19 인자는 와서 먹고 마시매 말하기를

보라 먹기를 탐하고 포도주를 즐기는 사람이요 세리와 죄인의 친구로다 하니

천지의 주재이신 아버지여 이것을 지혜롭고 슬기 있는 자들에게는 숨기시고

어린 아이들에게는 나타내심을 감사하나이다
26 옳소이다 이렇게 된 것이 아버지의 뜻이니이다
27 내 아버지께서 모든 것을 내게 주셨으니

아버지 외에는 아들을 아는 자가 없고

아들과 또 아들의 소원대로 계시를 받는 자 외에는 아버지를 아는 자가 없느니라
28 수고하고 무거운 짐진 자들아 다 내게로 오라 내가 너희를 쉬게 하리라
29 나는 마음이 온유하고 겸손하니 나의 멍에를 메고 내게 배우라

그러면 너희 마음이 쉼을 얻으리니
30 이는 내 멍에는 쉽고 내 짐은 가벼움이라 하시니라

16 But whereunto shall I liken this generation?

It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows,
17 And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced;

we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented.
18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil.
19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say,

Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners.

But wisdom is justified of her children.
25 At that time Jesus answered and said,

I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth,

because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent,

and hast revealed them unto babes.
26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.
27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father:

and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father;

neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and [he] to whomsoever the Son will reveal [him].
28 Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me;

for I am meek and lowly in heart:

and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke [is] easy, and my burden is light.

19 また人の子がきて、食べたり飲んだりしていると、

見よ、あれは食をむさぼる者、大酒を飲む者、また取税人、罪人の仲間だ、と言う。

しかし、知恵の正しいことは、その働きが証明する」。
25 そのときイエスは声をあげて言われた、

「天地の主なる父よ。あなたをほめたたえます。

これらの事を知恵のある者や賢い者に隠して、幼な子にあらわしてくださいました。
26 父よ、これはまことにみこころにかなった事でした。
27 すべての事は父からわたしに任せられています。

そして、子を知る者は父のほかにはなく、

父を知る者は、子と、父をあらわそうとして子が選んだ者とのほかに、

だれもありません。
28 すべて重荷を負うて苦労している者は、わたしのもとにきなさい。あなたがたを休ませてあげよう。
29 わたしは柔和で心のへりくだった者であるから、わたしのくびきを負うて、わたしに学びなさい。

そうすれば、あなたがたの魂に休みが与えられるであろう。
30 わたしのくびきは負いやすく、わたしの荷は軽いからである」。
